We do seem to have a lack of young players being involved this season unfortunately.

My major concern is that this is going to affect Anderson's confidence. If his head goes down, we're fucked, and it'll be bye bye Europe. Hopefully it'll make him even more determined but I'm not going to get my hopes up.

I think Kerr is too similar to Seve, both like to strut about trying to play superstar passes, but for that to be effective, they need someone alongside them to do their dirty work. Ian Black of ICT would be a good signing, although I fear Calderwood has Lee Mair earmarked for that role.

I think a lot of people are concerned that he's either not very good, or very injury prone. And some people will be worried about the stigma of us signing a player who can't get a game for Dundee Utd. Those complaints may or may not be fair/accurate, but the reaction is understandable I'd say.

Looks like he's being signed as a replacement for both David Donald and Gary Dempsey. Have to admit, I've never seen him play in midfield, and I'm not exactly enthusiastic about that prospect.

I feel sorry for him really, he's the worst player I've ever seen play for Aberdeen I think, but he seemed to enjoy himself and at least try his best. Good luck to the guy, he'll need it with Alex Rae as his new manager. Just had a look about, it seems that he's only signed for them on loan. How does that work then, seeing as he's only signed with us as an amateur?

2 years seems risky, I'd prefer a one year contract with an option to extend it at Christmas time.

Lovell is a fantastic striker when the ball is on the deck, when we resort to punting long balls up the pitch, he tends to go a bit quiet.
