  1. Christ, even an 18 year old ned can see that Lovell needs to get a run of games in the first team, yet our superstar manager can't?
  2. He was fantastic in the Falkirk replay, and the few starts he had before that, he ended up as a lone striker in a target man role where he still managed to create what would have been 2 goals against Utd. To me, he always looks too eager to score if anything as he knows if he doesn't score within 45 minutes, he'll be hooked and won't get a game for another 2 months as is what usually happens.
  3. Fucking hell, is he trying to get himself sacked? Maguire is fucking garbage, Lovell should have been on from the start. This man is killing our club.
  4. I'd be furious if that were to be remotely true. A mistake of Alex Miller proportions.
  5. Inside the Augustiner Beer Hall: Marienplatz mid-afternoon: And again: Taking over Mareinplatz Station: Outside the stadium: Fans to my right: Come on you reds! (with Toni doing a ballet dance in the background): Ready for kick off: Awaiting the inevitable: Bayern players saying goodbye: Here's a link to the rest of my 134 pics including the Olympiastadion, views from the top of the Olympiatower and the outside and inside of the BMW complex:
  6. It would mean finishing above Hibs, Hearts and Falkirk in the league though.
  7. Any of you gadgies ov I'm planning on doing that on Friday, might try to get a tour round the BMW plant next door too if possible.
  8. Still got another day of work before I'm off I'll make up for it when I get there though Mansell!!!!

  10. I thought it was going to be on BBCi?
  11. Severin complaining about players having a swagger is like Hitler complaining that someone is nasty for giving someone a Chinese burn.
  12. Aye, Toni had Diamond in his back pocket didn't he?
  13. We don't need Russell Anderson, otherwise Calderwood would have replaced him
  14. Do people actually think that Milne would put himself through a 15 year charade, pretending to be an Aberdeen fan, putting himself in the firing line and public eye in a negative way, just to get his hands on a msall piece of land at fucking Linksfield? He's got twice has big, 10 times as profitable pieces of land in places like Westhill and Bieldside coming out of his arse. Milne has provided us with enough resources for us to expect a team capable of comfortably finishing in 3rd place (based on Hearts still being in self destruct mode). He's got Willie Miller in charge of overseeing the football operation, a man championed for the poisiton by the supporter's trust, another patron of the AFC Trust on the board of directors and he's got capable people running the other areas of the club. I don't know what people expect him to do other than 'you're rich, give us money'. If you're unhappy with the product on the pitch, the buck stops firmly with Calderwood, he's the one who used all his budget signing half a dozen useless squad players to replace the quality players we've lost.
  15. That's about the only run he's ever been allowed to have though, he hasn't had a run of games in the first team since. I'm convinced that if you were to give Lovell 10 consecutive starts, he'd get 5 goals.
  16. I'm pretty sure the guy on AFC Chat who says he was there posted months back saying that he was in the youth team at Pittodrie or something along those lines and seemed genuine enough. Given Blunderwood's previous attempts at belittling Lovell to force him out of the door, I'm inclined to believe the story to some extent.
  17. Yeah but how often does Martin O'Neil berate and belittle his own players while they're on the pitch, or even off it?
  18. We really need an experienced central defender to partner Diamond. As hard as he tries, he still makes huge errors and there's far too much pressure and responsibility on his shoulders. He needs someone alongside him like Russell Anderson had with Derek Whyte. If we use the wages earned by Lee Mair, Dave Bus, Richie Byrne and Karim Touzani, we should be able to get someone of decent quality while keeping Considine as back-up. Severin could drop back as a very last resort. Between McNamara and Maybury, we should have the right back slot position covered for the short term, but the combination of both their wages should enable us to bring in a right back of decent quality. Back-up may be a problem, but it's about time we started getting some return from the youth team. Left back position has been a shambles ever since McNaughton left/stopped being played there. Again a good quality player should be sourced and backed up by someone coming through the youth team, or perhaps sign another player who can play both full back positions. If our defence continues to be a shambles, there's not even a point in strengthening the rest of the team.
  19. An Arab posted on another board: Couldn't agree more.
  20. Knee jerk? At this rate I'll have arthritis
  21. How did Bus look when he came on?
  22. Cheers, that seems to work out fine for me, just need to beat the PJM's now.
  23. Looked on Redweb and the SFL site and couldn't see anything, anyone know when it's due to be played if we beat Utd? Got a trip I need to plan for early March and don't want to potentially miss it.
  24. No, Langfield was good, didn't even fuck up any kicks, my comments were more directed at the outfield players.
  25. Josh Walker was excellent, everyone else was shocking, especially Lee Miller.
