The SFA should be investigating Rangers for allowing a spokesperson connected to their club say those things about Aberdeen players. That's far more harmful to relations between 2 clubs than one young fringe player having a bit of banter with a mate of his on the internet. I'm more concerned that Maguire reckons Celtic are the only team in the SPL. If he likes them that much he can fuck off and sit in Celtic Park every week.

Copenhagen, not only the best of the year, but probably the best of my conscious life.
-
No it's not. There has never been a song that starts 'who's that lying on the stairwell?' That is complete fabrication from the knuckledraggers.
-
That's the problem, Hutton shouldn't have been quiet, he's a hothead on a yellow card, smarting from being made a fool out of, he should have been put under constant pressure, Clark running at him, giving him a bit of chat 'haha I got you back even better and one of your players got sent off'.
-
Pity he doesn't have more balls, otherwise he wouldn't have hidden from Hutton for the rest of the match.
-
I did wonder why none of the flags were up. Nae doubt John Morgan pandering to the Huns again or somesuch.

Doesn't he mean, again, as in addition to us?
-
Losing Clark wouldn't be the worst thing in the world if it meant the likes of Touzani and De Visscher got a prolonged run in the team in their preferred positions.
-
That would be for the last 16?
-
Munich's quite far away from Hamburg and Leverkusen/Dusseldorf, we should be fine on that front I'd hope.
-
I've booked up on the assumption that the game will be on the 21st, waiting on booking the hotel just in case though. EDIT - Allowed to cancel hotel up to the 19th, so went ahead and booked it. InterCityHotel Muenchen.

Official Match Thread: Aberdeen v Copenhagen
Slim replied to mizer's topic in Aberdeen Football Club
WHAT. THE. FUCK. :o -
He's only played for Hibs 5 times this season, all coming off the bench. Is he good enough to be a regular first team starter for us? I'm not so sure.
-
Nicholson for me. Giving to to Diamond would put too much pressure on him I think, and he can do a captain's job on the pitch without a piece of elastic around his arm.
-
What the fuck is going on?
-
All those just returning from injury or carrying little niggles should be rested until Thursday.

Q's 1. Where do you travel from? 2. How do you get there/back? 3. What do you usually do before/after the game? 4. Preferred location? 1. Top of Union Street 2. Bus/Bus unless it's a midweek/Sunday game, then you've sometimes got a 45 minute wait for the next available bus. 3. Nothing, go straight to the match then straight home again. 4. Not overly fussed, but if the club think Cove is the best place for it for the reasons they stated, then I'm happy to support their decision for the benefit of the club.

No we're not, we'd be building on top of what is currently the driving range and a couple of holes of the golf course at the very most. The golf course will still be there, they'll just be shifting the demolished parts further north. There wouldn't be that much scope for extra parking. And for the hardened drinkers, it will also mean the loss of the Broadhill Bar.
-
Yes, the majority of them, not those too stubborn to move from their comfy seat in front of the telly at the Pittodrie Bar. The percentage of those attending a match who drink in the pubs before the match and would be unwilling to travel to Cove because it's not handy would be quite low in my estimations. Low enough that the money saved from building on a brownfield site marked for development instead of digging up part of a golf course next to the beach will far outweigh that of the money spent from people willing to abaondon supporting their team because it means they'll miss out on having some pre-match beers. It was tongue in cheek, pointing out that he should be grateful for having the stadium on his doorstep in the first place, and it seems he's taken it for granted. He'll just have to do what thousands of other fans already have to do every other week. It's going to be in a location where they'll be able to build all the facilities that will serve the community, it's a far larger area than the beach site and far more room for expansion to incorporate hotels, shops, offices, gyms, restaurants, etc, etc. They evaluated sites on all sides of the city and that was chosen as the most viable for a variety of reasons. There are always going to be people unhappy no matter what location is chosen, they've done their best to suit the majority. And we do have a responsiblity to serve the rest of the country with providing easy access from other areas, especially if the Scottish government will be providing a lot of the funding and if we want to host national events.

Falkirk has worked quite well for them, the rest never really had much of a fanbase to start with. And it's hardly out of town, it's a 5 minute drive from the train station on a normal day. The bypass has been approved, it will be built.
-
Yes, because there's absolutely no chance that they'll even consider introducing further public transport links to a new stadium, we're stuck with the current routes and timetables we've got for all of eternity. We have the A90, which is a dual carriageway, we have Wellington Road, which will soon be a dual carriageway all the way up to its junction with the A90, and by the time the stadium is in use, we'll have the WPR which is also a dual carriageway. How can that possibly be a bad thing? Far better than the single lane King Street and the single lane Beach Boulevard. Their loss, you can't structure a football club, and a business around the drinking habits of a couple of dozen people. You've had a football stadium on your doorstep for the last 100 years or so, someone else is going to get a shotty now, stop being selfish. People travel from all corners of the country to come to home games, you're complaining about going a few miles to somewhere that will have plenty of public transport support.
-
Would there be anyone to complain though? All the local businesses would be happy, and the people who live in the area can't exactly say they don't want a football stadium near their homes because there's one there already. All the existing golf facilities would be relocated, so no harm? Cove's fine with me though, it's close enough to the city centre, easy to get to, plenty of bus routes to go up that way, potential for a rail link and keeps the huns out of the city centre with a bit of luck.
