  1. If we have such financial constraints, we shouldn’t be wasting our wage budget on squad fillers. We have our youth team and/or the loan market for that (precisely why he’s here in the first place). Instead of giving him a 2/3 year contract, we should easily be able to switch him out with another disposable loan player.
  2. Not for me. He's been here 18 months and hasn't been able to cement himself in our starting 11 despite not really having that much competition - he's been getting a game because Gleeson/Tansey have been shite, not because he's played his way into the team.
  3. He’s a miserable whingebag, every anecdote I’ve heard about him from old team mates has been about how grumpy he is. I remember his book signing at Costco in Westhill, sat there with a face on barely engaging with anyone. Great goalkeeper but fed up hearing how he’s so hard done by.
  4. We've got a cup final song this year:
  5. Complacency after a good run of form.
  6. He’s spot on about the fear of failure and the ā€œach that’ll never workā€ attitude.
  7. Going to see The Weeknd and Guns N Roses next weekend. Also have tickets for Sam Smith but letting my missus take her friend instead. Also got tickets for Post Malone but sold them after googling who that was and listening to some of his music. Dreadful stuff.
  8. 33 year old Richard Foster bumping his gums this morning about not being called up to Scotland squad because he plays for St Johnstone
  9. As above, the team more or less picks itself now. The only question marks are on the ā€˜No.9’ and ā€˜No.10’ positions. We’re suffering a bit from Forrester being pap as we don’t really have a ā€˜No.10’ to be the main creative outlet in the centre.

The bigger problem is that there’s a culture that Rangers and Celtic must be treated equally because if you show even a tiny bit of preference for one or the other, you’re automatically a rabid Hun/Fenian. I hate Rangers more than Celtic. Celtic are pricks but they’re one dimensional pricks. There’s something a lot more sinister about Rangers. They’re a grotesque organisation in all aspects.
  11. It'll be something to do with the contract along the lines of not being able to open the road until they give the contractor the taking over certificate which will start the defect liability period, which they won't want to do while the contractor is still working. There will be payment milestones connected to most likely. The MSP chap said something about them being able to open the completed stretch once the contractor agrees to the proposed variation order, that sounds about right. I imagine the VO will be incredibly unfavourable towards the contractor.
  12. Safe to say that we have now found our strongest starting 11?
  13. We need to get the ball forward a lot quicker. We seem to be passing it about at the back too much, inviting pressure before the inevitable panicked hoof up the park in the vague direction of one of our front 4 who are already well marked as a result of the fannying about. They’re well structured, we need to try to catch them on the backfoot, beat them with pace. Hopefully we can start playing early in the 2nd half, otherwise it’s going to be route one to Cosgrove and that’s going to be too easy for them to deal with.
  14. Slightly before my time but I remember some of our players from the 80's crediting the humping we got off Liverpool as a key contributor for what we achieved in the years that followed.
  15. We can afford to draw with Albania if we beat Israel at home can’t we?
  16. Isn’t Corbyn pro-Brexit? I mean he’s not shouting it from the rooftops but I can’t see him offering us a way out of leaving the EU even if it would mean him getting elected.
  17. That was definitely Gleeson.
  18. Half the team injured and Gleeson/Forrester still can't get off the bench.
  19. In this case ā€œsurprised and disappointedā€ doesn’t really cut it. This is a blatant manipulation of the rules, there’s not a hope in hell that any other clumsy tackles (which is the worst case judgement of this one) will face similar scrutiny throughout the season. Is the Court for Arbitration in Sport still a thing? This fucking stinks and we should be looking to take it to whichever level is above the SPFL.
  20. Has anyone ever been given a retroactive suspension for anything other than violent conduct? Didn't even enter my mind that this was even a possibility.
  21. Amazingly the guy who wounded the linesman is only at no. 2 in the Scottish football press public enemy list having been unable to dislodge the downright evil Scott McKenna who left a poor wee lamb in agony with a dead leg. No doubt if an Aberdeen fan assaulted a match official there would be a 12 page glossy pullout.

    What’s GWT?
  23. Looks like either GMS will play centrally behind 2 strikers or Cosgrove will be up top on his own and GMS/Wilson will be playing on the wings. That would leave zero creativity in the middle though.
  24. Can’t see anything other than a morale-sapping humping.
