  1. Just back from a 2 week holiday, where I read the first five Stuart MacBride books which I loved. Thanks to Rebus30 for recommending this author in reply to a query I previously posted in this thread. I noticed in previous few posts both positive and negative references to 'Kindle'. Just prior to going away on my hols I read it was the most popular purchase on Amazon at Christmas, the latest model could be read in sunlight and weighed around 1.8kg. I would be interested in views on the Kindle v paperbacks, as I weighed the six paperback books taking on my hols and they were 2.3 kg!
  2. Vote registered for Maguire Fishing, or genuine vote for a.n other by Aberdeen fans?
  3. Ohh FFS I thought it all started again 010111, and was well-chuffed Al Megrahi survived past then
  4. I detest diving, thought we'd lost that aspect to our team when Lee Miller was sold. Obviously not, we've got a new actor it seems Magennis, I repeat ... feckin stop diving!
  5. I voted "nit". Dinnae like it. Liked both flags mizer posted from game at Perth, do prefer the one on the right though!
  6. Magennis from all accounts did well when he came on v Hibs, but otherwise hasn't exactly set the heather alight. From what I've read seems to be abit of a diver? If true, feckin stop it Josh!
  7. I started a thread on 22 October asking re number 3 being restored! Nae a huge issue, however when back to normal working hours (some of us actually work then, and aren't on here!!) it can be several days when I'm not on here. Do tend to have quick check of my e-mails every day, therefore would know had PM and could answer timeously. Before any smart arse replies, I know I could still quickly sign-in on here!
  8. Was she too close to the bone?! What did you, and your girlfriend, think of Frankie Boyle? I went to see him in Edinburgh a couple of months ago, and although some material was similar to his TV stuff, I thought he was hilarious. Then again, I do have a sick sense of humour!
  9. Had sore tummy laughing whilst watching that DVD, loved it!
  10. Al-Megrahi better haud on until 00:01 on 010111, after lasting all this time!
  11. An acknowledgement of my complaint would have been a start. Apparently the official complaint I made on the day at Tynecastle would go in a report to both clubs. I wanted to back that up with an e-mail to AFC with my opinion on the facilities. I would hope that AFC would then let Hearts know that it is not acceptable and better not happen again. I'm not one to regularly complain/e-mail the club, I think last time I did was about the rip-off phone charges for the Madrid tickets. If I recall correctly, I don't think I got a reply to that either! I hasten to add, my e-mails were polite and not abusive at all. I read at the weekend that an EPL game was called off (?Everton) for hygiene and safety reasons, due to burst pipes. That was the gist of my complaint... health & safety, as in my opinion the facilities at Tynecastle were disgusting. I don't think the game should have gone ahead; and that was my opinion before kick off!
  12. I had already put in an official complaint whilst at the game. I included the details of that, and who took the statement, in my polite e-mail to AFC.
  13. They didn't for game at Tinkcastle 10 days ago when pavements were all packed down snow and icy. Abit OT - Roseburn Stand that day was a disgrace too. Ladies toilets were 2-3" deep with water to wade through, and none of the taps had water. Unsurprisingly I've had no acknowledgement of my email sent to AFC, and the SPL on this subject sent on Monday 13th.
  14. I concur! I scared my wee dog when I suddenly started shouting (well more screeching tbh!) and swearing at the TV when Jackson came out with that pish!
  15. Won't need to wear my braw red and white polka dot wellies now In/Oot: In Prematcher: Roseburn During the game: Up the back apparently Postmatcher: jagerbombs! Prediction: Hartley winner in 90+3
  16. FFS, especially arabs game as that is usually a good day out. Other 2 games will now have lower crowd too. Just what we need
  17. McGhee was supposed to be a long term solution!, Brown highly unlikely to be on a long term contract (nae re his age.. u ageist ppl, but from AFC recent experience!) and agree at least it's not Hughes or McPherson, or JC!
  18. From mizers post from The Sun .... John Hartson... " ... they need someone like me... " .... "maybe the board would be able to find the money for a half-decent striker as that would help enormously" full back(s) and attacking midfielder would help even more "enormously" John! I would have found it easier to vote in a who I DON'T want as manager poll. Obviously Hartson would be one, and off the top of my head.. wouldn't want Hughes, Reid, McPherson, Butcher, Collins or Strachan. Add to that Calderwood, J.
  19. Why do you hate McGlynn? I'm asking as I don't know alot about him, apart from what he has done at my local team Raith Rovers. As I just posted in McGhee gone thread, McGlynn was a name mentioned to me several weeks ago as our potential next manager.
