  1. In/Oot - In (I promised to take my nephew to a game, and he chose this one) Pre-match - Two hours on the train then Archies Match - SS, most probably giving up the will to live! Post-match - Nephew's choice of eatery, train home - then do repeated tests of how cold the beer in my fridge is! Prediction - Winless* home run against Motherwell continues * mizer - where is your quote above from?, from it ... when does November 2008 until now become a "near five-year winless home run v Motherwell" ?? ... at the school I went to that's only around 4.33 years!.
  2. In/Oot: In Pre-match: Artisan Match: Wherever Globe Reds have tickets Post match: Beer or 3, then train back to the Kingdom for a house party Prediction: Nae as confident now due to apparent injury list, ... so 3-4 .. Griffiths (2), Doyle (1) v McGinn (2), Smith (2) COYR!
  3. Assume Hughes was injured? - feckin hope so with Clark being replacement. I wasn't at the game, but watched it on a dodgy online stream. We were like a different team when Hayes and Smith came on, and after McGinn goal I really thought we'd get a draw at least. Team before that was lethargic, and disjointed.
  4. In Train, then pub PATG in South Stand, Y if nae raining Pub, off license then train 3-1, Vernon
  5. ^^ This ^^ ^^ And this ^^ Raith Rovers away please!
  6. In/Out: Out (Sunday, and train £47.20 by time TV fixtures confirmed) Pre-matcher: Garden if dry / bed if raining Match: Radio /online Post-matcher: Weather dependent Prediction: 1-1
  7. Regarding game, as others have said we just didn't look like scoring. Defensively solid, but lack the spark / creativity in the last third. Was so optimistic that we'd play more attacking game this season with the wide players brought in, but sadly not so far. I can't fault the effort from the players, and nae need for the boo's at FT.
  8. As in my new thread in 'Off Topic' I had a partially drunk case of Miller in my bag getting on train in Dundee just before 9pm. Noone came around the train to check, so I was able to discreetly have a couple. Do wonder how the Edinburgh guys on direct train got on, as wifie wis a crabbit jobsworth well before 8pm farless 9!
  9. Thought it would be good to have a thread for the season on how this ban has impacted on your travel. On the way home from Aberdeen to Fife last night was my first experience of this new ban/rule. Got on train that left just after 1900 hrs, met a few Edinburgh bound fans I knew on the train. Conductress/ticket checker or whatever they are called was a crabbit jobsworth from very early in the journey. She quickly verbalised her displeasure at us drinking, this was well before the curfew! Fortunately for me I had to change train at scumdee, hopefully others made it to Edi without being chucked off by crabbit quine! I was able to drink another cpl of bottles of Miller after 9pm as noone came through to check (albeit I was being discreet and putting btl back in box inbetween swigs!) Did establish on the way up that it is only Scotrail trains ban applies to. East Coast Trains employee stated "We are very happy to accept people drinking alcohol on our trains at any time"
  10. I hope too! Question for anyone who has read official rules, .. are you allowed to get on a train before 9pm (with destination after 9pm) carrying alcohol (but not drinking any of it after 9pm?)
  11. In/Oot: In Prematcher: Train, with a few beers, then Archies to meet the survivors of Alan Hansens Sports Challenge Match: Section Y Postmatcher: Pub, off-license, then train home (Fortunately change train at Scumdee before 9pm!) Prediction: We end Ross County's unbeaten run
  12. The only words I believe in that are "it was a mistake". Not in the context he said it in though. You don't retweet something you don't agree with, however many tweets you read, unless you are retweeting someone who has abused you. Edit: As I said the other night... FFS, what a mess! I don't trust either of them now
  13. Hadn't read this thread after Megrahi died, as last I looked in FJ was closing thread after someone got a point. Sooooo, I now need to choose someone else for my list now (3 months later!). If so, FJ can you remind me how to see list of who others have please.
  14. Jason Brown has gone down in my opinion after retweeting the comment re Langfield. Totally unprofessional to disrespect a teammate publicly FFS! What a mess!
  15. The goal was a total fuck up by Langfield, nae helped by defence not anticipating a short corner, but ultimately a Clanger. Totally agree people like that need to GTF. It was Steven someone who posted the comment re die, ... by the time I went to unfollow him, the account was deleted. Aberdeen FC did tweet that they would not tolerate such comments and would be taking the appropriate action.
  16. Totally agree that the abuse he is getting on twitter is disgraceful, especially the die comment which is despicable after what he went through last year health wise. Jason Brown must definitely be away after he retweeted the following comment from @rossmatheson - "20000+ people supporting @greathover32. One person supporting Jamie Langfield. One loss. No further questions @aberdeenmad" Totally unprofessional from Brown.
  17. Was at Frankie Boyle gig on Thursday night in Edinburgh. It was shit. Seen him live before, and he was hilarious, however last night so much of the "show" wasn't funny at all.
  18. In/Oot: Oot Prematcher: Sleeping Match: Via Sky Go on laptop Postmatcher: Weather permitting, continue with revamping garden Prediction: 1-2
  19. Are any during w/c 130812? If so, when, where and at what time? I'm sure I could boo, or Aluko (stand about looking totally disinterested, and wish I was somewhere else!)
  20. I hadn't looked at SFL site before tonight, were they previously listed in 3rd Division?
