  1. Picking Englishmen and there's no room for Paul Mason? Theo Heikkinen Deloumeaux Arnasson van de Ven Bisconti Kiriakov Ten Caat Gillhaus van der Ark Zerouali Slightly unbalanced side, defence may cause a bit of concern...
  2. That'd still be a great effort SeeBass, I'm sure no Dons fan would think you're any less of a supporter, on the contrary in fact. Hope the social services are able to help you too
  3. McLeish said the other night on Radio Clyde that it would be a disaster for Scottish Football if the huns didn't finish second. Still trying to work that one out to be honest...
  4. 3-2 Juve Shite defending from Inter as per.
  5. 10 man Inter 2-1 up on Juve. 17 mins to go. Fingers crossed they hold on and Napoli win in Florence tomorrow.
  6. May is poor. He offers us nothing. What is that now? One in 19, 20? Doesn't even look like scoring or threatening the opposition. LA Don - I don't think McGinn is fit, and the fact he was on the bench in the semi etc shows that. His sharpness just isn't there. I think he needs a pre-season with us, and maybe that's what Stevie May needs too. Fingers crossed.
  7. Aberdeen win and you let that bother you?
  8. Great result, the early-ish goal was so important. The longer it's 0-0 the more it plays into Hearts's hands. The opening goal seemed to spark us into life, GMS in particular had looked howling before that, but then all of a sudden a good run led on to a great finish from a great McLean pass. McInnes got it right tonight in terms of keeping it simple against what is essentially a simple Levein side. Berra and Dallas can fuck off.
  9. A fair summary Jute. Hibs deserved their win. McLennan looked decent and scored a good goal. The two you mention were our best players. Anderson had a good touch and movement but just needs to be stronger on the ball, but that will come. The ref was a classic SFA protégé. Made sure he got all the wee pernickety things right, but failed to deal with the bigger issues competently. You'll see more of the same from Andrew Dallas tonight. The arsehole of a fourth official too... Dons sub about to go on, getting final instructions from Sheerin and the fourth official is in his ear at the same time gibbering on and on about something. Jobsworth.
  10. Agree with this. Stewart seemed to be bombed out after the January Ibrox game - he had a nightmare of a night in fairness but he certainly wasn't alone in that. McInnes doesn't use him properly and that night was just one example of it throughout the season - he should be played centrally, behind the striker in our set up (if DM insists on keeping that system). If he isn't going to be played there, there's no point in going for him on a permanent contract.
  11. One of the reasons the u20s has to be scrapped
  12. Will be heading along to this, looking forward to it. Last young Dons side I saw was the side who won the league, be interesting to see how this crop stack up against them.
  13. Brown will be basing it on the fact Hibs tend to give Celtic a game, whereas Aberdeen and the huns generally wilt in front of them.
  14. Pretty sure most of his first season was at left back, but maybe not. It's down to McInnes where he plays, if Shinnie is dictating that then that's a real issue. You also don't just lose the ability to play the position, you may be rusty, but that's all it is.
  15. Not sure about that - he played left back when he first signed. Maybe it was mentioned as a long term view; either way, he's still a better left back than he is a CM. We lose a lot without full backs who can attack and Shinnie was excellent at getting forward from that position. If we can get one in then brilliant, but there aren't many going about that we could either afford or would be good enough for us.
  16. Yeah, that's him on 10 for the season, that's the kind of tally I thought we'd get from him each season but the consistency just wasn't there. He's been one of the shining lights in the second half of the season.
  17. Arsene Wenger away at the end of the season. Would need to imagine Brenda will be on their radar as his replacement.

Where's the Betting thread gone to?
  19. Barton is big mates with their chairman, only reason he got the job. I'll be backing whoever is playing against Fleetwood come the new season.
  20. The fact I don't agree with you doesn't mean I'm missing the point. Logan has been poor all season - dropping him from the league matches should have happened whether he was suspended for yesterday or not. Ball was always going to be rb yesterday because there is pretty much no other option. Given how crap Logan has been would it really have made much difference to our performances in the league to at least give the guy some chance to get match sharp given how little he's played?
  21. And the possibility of getting 2nd isnt just a possibility??? A European spot? Christ. We've got a shite squad because the manager allowed it to be shite.
  22. I reckon Raheem Sterling wouldn't have got a game with me and my mates down the park when we were kids. He's absolutely shite. How he gets a game every week is incredible. Horrendous footballer. (i know he's just scored etc)
  23. Really? Fair leap of faith that given Logan's standards this season. Not sure why I didn't realise that second place in the league was far better than the possibility of winning a cup. Apologies. Thanks for pointing out my nonsense (as you often do).
