  1. What Logan have you been watching this season? He's been shite for 18 months, offered us nothing at all and if he had been playing today nothing at all would have been different in terms of the first goal or the lack of an attacking presence from right back. We knew for a month that we were missing Shinnie, McLean and Logan. But what did our manager do about that in our preparation for this game? Fuck all. May well have done something in training, but the boys coming in had been starved of match practice when they didn't need to be. We are out this cup due to poor management, the same reason we were put out the league cup, funnily enough (it's not funny) to the same opposition and by the same score, so that's a nice symmetry at least.... McInnes said today after the match that he realised today (!!!!!) that his signings in the last two windows aren't up to it. Well guess what Derek.... we all fucking knew that before today. Why has it taken you so long to admit it? Arrogance or incompetence? Both? Been a long time since I've felt so angry at a game. Time for a change Stewartie, let's see that you've got the balls to do the right thing.

Think I'd need to go for Blackburn again RS. Wigan are very tempting at almost Evens but Rochdale have come in to some form... think Blackburn are probably the safer bet tomorrow night.
  3. Was Stewart injured? If not, that was an utterly baffling change. The only player who looked composed on the ball, who wanted it and looked to link the play. Thought Arnason was good when he came on, but pretty much everyone else was poor. The fullbacks are giving us nothing going forward which is making things very hard for us. Shinnie, as someone said, totally anonymous, O'Connor offered us nothing in midfield and McGinn doesn't look fit - the sharpness just isn't there. Hearts back three will have few easier afternoons. At two down, we did nothing that was different, we just persevered with the same old shape and same old tactics. It's bewildering, and for a manager like Levein it just plays into his hands. He knows how to get his team through matches like that and that's exactly what he did. Losing at Tynecastle is not the end of the world, but we have to step it up next week.
  4. I think one of the reasons he ended up leaving the huns was because he was fed up of the sectarian stuff.
  5. Played very well tonight. Stewart, McLean and Christie did well and May looked much brighter than he has for some time. M'well didnt offer much but we dealt with their two big lads up front very well. Having Lewis back is so good. His communication is great and you can see the defence feel a lot more comfortable with him there.

Nice one RS, wise move. That's why I like that team goals bet but not many bookies do it. Was considering Coventry City at one point today...

Would take Blackburn to score more than one goal at 10/11 today RS. They're 3/4 to win away at MK Dons - to win they'll probably need to score more than one so would go with the better odds there. If you can't get that bet on the site you use i'd just take the straight win.
  8. You're absolutely right. God forbid supporters of Aberdeen FC have to freeze their chugs off at Pittodrie. Hideous idea. Will never catch on anyway.
  9. Jim Traynor and Paul Murray at SFA this week, Murray was there at least two days this week. No doubt getting their story straight for when it inevitably goes tits up again.
  10. Well, exactly. If folk want to contribute, why can't they just contribute instead of getting all these "benefits". Surely if you want to put towards the Dons playing budget you don't have to be enticed by the waiving of booking fees when buying match tickets online?
  11. A vehicle to close the gap between us and other teams? That's all very well, but...Why now? That gap has existed for years, it's nothing new. I think it's a scheme that will work well for some folk, but I also think it's possibly a kick in the nuts for people who actually go to matches. I've just shelled out 60 quid for Tynecastle and the semi final and am also going along next Tuesday for Motherwell; but I'll get what, 3 loyalty points for that? Maybe 4 due to the semi final. If I *only* did that over the course of a season, I'd get to roughly 30 loyalty points or so, but someone who only pays 18 a month automatically gets 40 points for the season and they don't even have to leave their house. I'm penalised for supporting the team. Just using the above as an example - i know that I'll be ok when it comes to getting match tickets etc, but it's just not a very balanced system at present. If people can support the club through this means then that's great, but others shouldn't be penalised especially when they're actively supporting the team.

Nice one RS, I'd be up for that.

Not much jumping out for me on Friday so I'd have to take Wigan again for me, this time at home to Oldham. Saturday - Atalanta at home to Udinese. Udinese lost 5 on the spin and Atalanta should be doing better this season, have weirdly struggled at home but should still be strong enough to win this one. Sunday - Like the look of Villarreal away to Malaga at better than Evens. Malaga are woeful and Villarreal are the sort of team who can grind out victories. Thanks RS, never visited Verona before but been to a fair amount of Italy and loved it so looking forward to it. Just a couple of nights, heading out on Friday morning and back Sunday evening - going with old school mates, getting too hard for some of them to get more than 2 nights away from the wife and kids but will have a good laugh, and enjoy some cracking food and wine.

Nice one RS. I shall have a look this week for Friday and Saturday. Away this weekend in Verona so will try to get picks for both days at the same time. Shall be taking in Chievo v Sampdoria while I'm away, that's a game that's screaming out Over 2.5 given recent defensive difficulties for both but as I'll be there I'll stay away from betting on it. Sure fire goalless draw coming up!

Apologies RS, was too bold with that call. Got a couple of free bets so have put two trebles on for the golf today: Grace to beat B Watson Cabrera Bello to beat Kodaira Aphibarnrat to beat Reavie. returns just under 30 quid Pieters to beat Final Fleetwood to beat Poulter Oosthuizen to beat Duffner. returns 27 quid. Neither likely to come in but I'm loaded with the flu so gives me more interest/something to shout at the tv about.
  17. Terrible refereeing from Thomson - second time he's sent off Kipre this season, you do wonder if that's something to do with it. Massive shame because Motherwell had the better chances prior to that. Bain did well for Celtic. There is absolutely nothing to be frightened about playing Celtic, particularly if you have home advantage.

From Tuesday's card I'd pick Shrewsbury - good away record, and going up against Northampton who have Ash Taylor playing for them. Better than even money at the moment so a departure from my other picks but some of the "nailed on" teams in terms of prices seem a bit off to me.
  19. That's pretty much the Bronx every second week. The Subway Loyal is the biggest huns supporters club...
  20. ...and haven't lost to Killie all season, in 5 matches. Because the manager is terrified of the name, rather than what's on the park.
  21. I wasn't at the game today, but when I saw that May was in I was really disappointed. Whether you're a Rooney fan or a May fan, McInnes isn't being fair to either. One game in, don't score, dropped. No potential to fit into the "system". No chance for your team mates to get used to your movements. No chance to get up to speed. For the first half hour at Killie McGinn played up front with Rooney which was interesting in terms of selection (not in terms of practice as we never passed the ball once into feet), so i think that does show that McInnes is at least concerned about the position. But, he's not giving the guys a chance to settle into the position and he's not allowing the team to settle into it either. It's really frustrating.

But also shows you how hard football betting can be. That's a result for the bookies as well as Napoli.

Hit the post today Rocket. Back on it for tomorrow I'd need to go with Roma away to Crotone. Personally today I also hit the post with my bets - had three trebles on, got 2 out of 3 in all of them (if that's not a sign to reduce selections to a double I don't know what is...) but had the princely sum of 3 quid on Killie to beat the Devil's XI @ 8/1. Small winnings are always sweeter when it comes courtesy of the huns losing.

I will do, most of my successes this season have been via Serie A. Are we restricted to the WDW market, or can we venture into other markets?
