  3. When I saw the name Jorgen Ravn I know the post would be from MBT.
  4. I see Danny Wilson has left Hearts and is now a free agent. Worth a look?

    BT TV

We have Foxtel over here, which shows the EPL games. So many people have left Foxtel that they had to drop their prices to $25 for the standard pack and an extra $25 for the sports pack. So that works out to be about 25 pounds a month. It used to be around $100 for the same thing about six months ago.

    Heysel,

Canny believe it's been 30 years. This is a good read. Phil Neal comes over as a cunt. The thought of a football match going on as bodies are scattered over the place is just unreal. http://www.theguardian.com/football/2005/apr/03/newsstory.sport
  8. And I recommend Andrew Jennings book " FOUL! The Secret World of FIFA: Bribes, Vote-Rigging and Ticket Scandals". It goes into how corrupted some in FIFA are. A good read.
  9. I can't stand Blatter. I hope that all that he has done catches up with him. It looks like it's mainly ones who are involved with CONCACAF who have been arrested, which is why I think the yanks can get to them. FIFA needs a clean out from the very bottom, and the longer Blatter is in charge, It will only get worse.
  10. http://www.eveningexpress.co.uk/fp/aberdeen-fc/8-suspects-identified-in-dons-europa-league-match-fixing-probe/ EIGHT suspects have been identified in a match-fixing investigation into Aberdeen FC’s Europa League tie with FK Daugava Riga. The Latvian club, who folded this year, were accused of rigging both legs, which saw the Dons win 8-0 on aggregate in their first round qualifier last summer. As revealed by the Evening Express, two reports compiled by anti-corruption agency FederBet sparked a UEFA probe into the conduct of Daugava Riga. The allegations do not involve the Dons in any way. Two men, who were arrested accused of match-fixing, tax evasion and serious fraud, have now been released. A spokesman for State Police of Latvia today said: “We have eight suspects. Two of them were arrested for a few months but now the court has released them under a police parole. “A lot of work has already been done, but there’s still a lot to do. “We have made several requests for mutual legal assistance to other countries.” Daugava Riga did not receive the 120,000 euros for competing in the tie. UEFA’s probe continues and authorities think millions of euros were gained by match-fixers in Latvia, resulting in hundreds of thousands of euros of tax evasion from the Asian betting markets. It is understood match-fixing agencies in the Philippines, Singapore, Malaysia, China and Indonesia are involved. A UEFA spokesman reiterated that there is no time limit on these cases. The Dons did not wish to comment.
  11. Ooooft! We don't half rely on Rooney for the goals. That's a bit worrying to be truthful...
  12. I have a fair bit of King Crimson on the go. Youngsters.... look them up.
  13. Okay, what do we need then? New GK, CB and a forward are my pics. Thoughts?
  14. Brilliant news! Was not expecting that at all!

  16. What's everyone's view on Cammy Smith? 3 goals in 60 games. Not really good enough, even though he's young. Personally, i would have punted him as well.
  17. Once he hits the net in the big team, he will be fine. Lad is still a bit nervous and just needs that one goal.
  18. Not our best....
  19. No, fuck that! The last thing I would want if I was playing is saying well done to a team I'm just about to play!
  20. You could say the same about Anderson.... But we still took him back as his footballing head is better than his body. I think the same with Kev. Yep, getting older and slower, but a good football head on the guy. Yep from me.
  21. Where the fuck do we go from here? Get rid of Brown or Langfield, or both? I think Brown is the better keeper, but as said, he has his problems. Last good keeper at the Dons?
  22. Personally, I think a lot of the success of this year has to be put down to Shankland. The boy has been a goal scoring machine for the U-20's this year.
  23. I would love to see Super Kev back. Would still do a job for us.
  24. Anyone had any dealings with the club shop? I sent away for a 1976 retro shop along with a tee-shirt and a bennie. The shop sent me the 1969/70 top instead which is rather smart. I got in touch with them and told them about the mix-up. They fixed things up real quick and told me they would send me the 76 top at their expense. So I get a free top out of it all. Brilliant service. I know a few years ago that the shop had a bit of a bad rep, but just like the team, there seems to be a change in lots of aspects of the club.
