If you mention priority, it HAS to be decent centre back. Bates is not it. Our midfield is coming deep to defend as they know we need help back there. If Goodwin is doing what he said of making hard decisions, releasing Bates should be top of the list of Ruth and Fringe players for me. Just sad we don't have an true back up or young talent coming through. McKenna was the last one kid to come through at that position.

I'd keep MacKenzie, BUT only as a defending LB very similar scenario to Ramsey. MacKenzie is a good defender but doesn't offer much going forward & still needs to learn to get back quicker when possession is lost. Ramsey is great going forward but is a poor defender, needs to learn to defend better. Both are still young and have great potential. Bates & Gallagher...wouldn't be too fussed if they left. This Gallagher has come on more in the latter part of the season, was shocking early on. Bates...not convinced. Hayes agreed, would like to see him stay. At 35(?) plays better further up, shouldn't be used to run up and down as a LB now.

Yeah Livi helped us out last night with a surprising win over Hibs to keep them behind us. Think Mackenzie will be on the bench for the game. Kinda prefer Hayes in that position, he's more direct in attack but Mackenzie is a better defender for sure. Got to keep an eye on Stevie May, he likes a goal against us! Think with the likely departure of Ferguson in January, slot McRorie in his role. We'll have defenders back then to cover and let him play the MF role. Think he would be handy in the middle, he's got an engine on him. I like the looks of Teddy Jenks, not sure if that can be permanent but he looks good also. Samuels... speaking with neighbours of Glass, apparently he is a great player but has a low footballing IQ, his technical knowledge is limited and struggles to take this into his play.

JET has no movement which is frustrating to watch most of the time, but his hold up play and passing is some of the best in the league! Imagine if he actually ran into space and looked for the ball. What a player he would be.

Ye think someone has had a word with Glass about this sideways possession based football. He needs to change his philosophy on this and adopt far more direct play. Current system is so slow and boring to watch. We only started playng with urgency arounf 70mins..Shocking

International break came at the right time. 2 weeks with all the new players and give the rest a well need break to recoup. Expecting better in final third with more urgency shown for Motherwell game (please!!! ?)

One good take is two of their players are suspended for the game. One of the midfielders that looked good and a defender I think he is. So they'll be out an influenceable player. With Consi out our defense looks worryingly weak & young! Hope there's a decent turn out to make lot's of noise and push the lads on. Think it may go to pens also.... :s
