  1. Departure this time. Good riddance.
  2. Confirmed by club. Another right sided centre back is really odd. Guessing club have decided one of the right sided defenders signed is not up to scratch. Supposedly another still to come.
  3. Frankfurt isn’t that great a city by German standards. I would consider staying elsewhere and training it in on the day and away that night. For example there is a train back to Düsseldorf at 2311 which would be a better base.
  4. From what I have seen of PAOKs games against Hearts I would expect us to lose home and away. Not seen Eintracht this season but if they are anything like as good as they were last season that could be another two defeats potentially heavy ones. Don’t know anything about Helsinki so no idea what they are like.
  5. Back to league business on Sunday against managerless Hibs. Really need to start winning league games as if we lose this on Sunday we will be bottom of the league with Hearts away next. Would expect changes from Thursday to allow player to rotate and rest. Would like to see us go to 4 at the back but not sure Robson will move away from 3. Up front I would be tempted to drop Duk and maybe give Sokler or Gueye a run. In bus then pub Y Pub then bus 2-0 Sokler and Gueye.
  6. Rubi has looked very uncomfortable in it in either centre or right side of a three. McGarry does not look defensively strong enough for the wing back role. He did not track back in either of games I have watched him play. Morris is even worse on the other side. I am not convinced Jensen is comfortable being the left of the 3 either although that may have been because his wing back was offering him no protection. The above of course are early impressions and with time they might learn to play these roles but I remain to be convinced.
  7. Would take that draw although I have been to Gent and Trnava before. Both great places to get pished. Only ever passed through Florence on the train so would be delighted with Fiorentina. Draw back would we would get fucked in all 6 games.
  8. Pretty much agree with all of that other than I think there will be one more in for you to critique today.
  9. Not sure folk aren’t kidding themselves about us being any better off in the conference league. We were defensively poor last night and I am more and more convinced we have signed players who cannot play in a 3-5-2. As Kowalski said we have not played well this season which may improve with time for new players to settle but I am far from convinced.
  10. Initially I was going to say 3 cities I have not been too but having read Rico’s in-depth analysis of his selection I will just go with them and expect to qualify.
  11. New striker confirmed. Hoping this doesn’t mean someone is leaving.
  12. Anderson from Newcastle called up is interesting as I vaguely remember reading he has turned us down in the past. Also looks like Clarke’s views on not picking players not playing in Europe do not extend to the sportswashing league in Saudi.
  13. That was a brutal watch. Far too much reliance in the long ball again. Was clear it was never working from very early on. Hayes struggled again today. McGarry and Jensen need to be decent. Rubi was poor again. Beginning to worry he might not be up to playing at the pace of our league. Hopefully he will get used to it with more game time. Daylight robbery we got a point. Need to be a lot better than this on Thursday.
  14. Polvara must have something on Robson to still be getting a start.
  15. Probably to nobody’s surprise other than his own Lee Johnston emptied by Hibs.

    VAR

Agree with Rico and Orlando on this. I honestly don’t think VAR has done anything to improve the game especially for those attending matches. Handball rule is an abomination that could only have only been invented by someone who has never played the game.
  17. Apologies for the rotten title but it’s was a rush job to get a thread going as Manc is an idle cunt and Big Al is slumped in the corner of some Greek Taverna looking like a sunburnt Father Jack.
  18. Back to league duty on Sunday. We really need to start getting wins on the board in league but this will be a difficult trip as St Mirren have started league season well. Would like to see Subs who came on last night start on Sunday to get minutes into their legs before next Thursday. Would also expect Jensen to start instead of McKenzie for same reason. Not sure I would change any of the forwards but we might see Sokler start for Duk. Away end is sold out for this one so hopefully a decent atmosphere. In Train then pub Away end Train back to Capital 2-1 Miovski and McGrath (bound to score against his old club as it happens to us all the time)
  19. If the team that finished the game, except Sokler, had started it I think we win that comfortably tonight. Pretty confident we should put them away at home. Only concern is Miovski’s performance tonight may attract some bids before the window closes. As has been said he was outstanding tonight.
  20. Jensen on the bench along with McGrath.
  21. Same team as Stirling
  22. Not sure I would be chucking in a player who has never met his team mates never mind trained with them for a game as big as this.
  23. Jensen signed.
