  1. I would normally have booked train for this before now so would have lost out on transport costs. However on this occasion not booked anything as there are Engineering works so was looking at alternatives.
  2. Red card tonight sort of makes up for Sunday.
  3. Another game moved. This time for no fucking reason.
  4. Not sure I would be making any unenforced changes to a winning side. I know we have Tibute Act on Saturday but league cup is more important fixture for me. Strongest team should play Wednesday. Oot Work Flat Flat 2-0 Miovski and Duk
  5. Final tie result Was actually a decent game with some really good goals.
  6. Just seen that. Got car crash written all over it.
  7. Broxburn currently top of East of Scotland Premier and not lost a league game all season. Home advantage might tip it for Vale as Broxburn’s plastic pitch is not the greatest. Nice pies though and a really good programme.
  8. 2nd round draw
  9. Broomhill beat Cumbernauld 3-1 in todays tie. University of Stirling v Albion Rovers (live on BBC) completes first round tomorrow night.
  10. Much better performance this week. Miovski is an outstanding striker. Took his goals well and great set up for Duk. Can see him being away in January at this rate in exchange for a shed load of money. Barron man of the match for me. Thought he controlled midfield. Looked like a potential long term injury to McGarry so assume we will be going with Hayes or McKenzie for next few weeks. Second game in a row where we actually made proper use of the subs. Maybe Robson is learning.
  11. I read that as too old to have been on the lash in Greece last month and Germany this month. Only joking Al hope every is okay.
  12. Todays 1st round results. St Andrews bearing Auchinleck 1-0 probably the shock of the round. Was at Banks O’Dee v Dalbeattie Star today easy win for the Dee who could easily have hit a good few more.
  13. Decent move for him and hopefully help him develop.
  14. Formation we played on Thursday will not be effective on Sunday as County will also sit in and look to hit on the break. McKenzie looked far more defensively sound than McGarry but expect Robson to start McGarry for attacking threat. Barron should start to allow Clarkson to play further forward. Agree with Manc that Duk should remain on the bench. Hopefully we don’t just punt the ball long again as that will be playing into County’s hands. In Pub Y Train back to capital. 1-0 Clarkson
  15. Home game against Tribute Act move to 12pm kick off on the Sunday. Right pain in the arse as first train does not get in to 1147am. Looking like another overnight stay.
  16. 5-4-1 for me as well. Not going to be pretty but probably most sensible approach.
  17. I very quickly arranged a “client meeting” for 3pm in Leith so now able to suffer with everyone else.
  18. Just realised that as my office has moved out from City centre I am not even going to get to see the game. As it’s a 1745 kick off. Not going to say if that’s a good thing or a bad thing.
  19. Bastard employers of mine seem to think only working 1 week in 4 is unreasonable for some odd reason.
  20. As Al said I have the absolute fear about this one. We don’t have the players to play the pressing game suggested by others. Frankfurt will have technically superior and fitter players in every department and we don’t even look like we have 11 fit players. I would almost be tempted to stick out a second string, take the inevitable doing and keep first 11 fresh for vital game against County on Sunday. Oot Work flat or maybe pub Flat 5-0 no dons scorer. Despite the above pessimism I am still gutted I can’t go and hope those who are have a great trip.
  21. A pint of what you’re having please.
  22. Robson experiment is unraveling at an alarming rate of knots now. Looks completely out his depth. Formation is not working with the players we have and he is being far too loyal to some who are clearly out of form. That’s us comfortably beaten by two piss poor Edinburgh clubs. Never looked like winning either game. Next 4 will probably see us out the cup, humiliated in Europe and bottom of the league. Think is just a question of when this season not if we start looking for yet another manager.
  23. One year deal maybe but three year deal seems a bit of a stretch. Not seen anything to suggest he should be getting that.
