Motherwell statement however does not say they are against them being parachuted into division 1. Hoping Dons will come out and say they are against it and will do all in their power to oppose it. Not holding my breath though.

Statement in the Metro this morning from Berwick Rangers claiming that it will cost them money if Sevco are in division 3 next season and hinting that they will vote for them to get into division 1.

SPL 2 would follow swiftly if they are voted out of SFL.

Pretty sure I read something a while back that ESPN were thinking of withdrawing from Europe long beofre the Huns went tits up. Could this be another bit of spin like the claim that Clydesdale Bank will walk away because of this despite them confirming that they were not renewing last year?

Spartans have already said they would not apply for a place if they would be up against Sevco.

Just think it would maybe balance the pish being circulated in the press if one of the SPL clubs (i.e. us) were to issue a statement that said in nice clear language that Sevco should now apply for the vacancey created at the bottom of the football pyramid and in no circumstances parachuted into the First division. Could also add that we would oppose the setting up of SPL 2 to accomodate Sevco.

So are they suggesting a better presentation from Newco would have seen them in the SPL?

The more I read the more I am being pushed towards walking away from Scottish football. The whole game is corrupt from top to bottom and I do not know if I can justify putting anymore money into the game even it Newco are put into division three as the same corrupt and incompetent clowns will still be running the game.

This is now being denied by SFA.

Did think that myself. Surely if they are not fit for the top league then they are not fit for any league administered by the SFA.

Surely if they have acted without the permission of the clubs they are supposed to represent then they can be removed so why would they release a statement like that without permission from the clubs?

Where are these proposals coming from given most of the SPL clubs are denying all knowledge of these proposals?

Anyone noticed that SSN and BBC are reporting today's SFL meeting as deciding on Newco into 1st only. Not once do they mention the option of them going into division 3.

If above is true anyone want to bet against Newco being voted back into SPL on Thursday if SFL vote goes down division 3 route today. Also if above is true it explains Milne not mentioning division 3 in his statement the other day.
