  1. Leeds knocked of FA Cup by Crawley 3-0.
  2. Main should have been subbed as soon as Hedges was sent off. Lucky to get away with Main not getting a straight red although not convinced Hedges was a red. Accidentally collision so penalty but not a red.
  3. Full draw
  4. Dumbarton or Huntly away for Dons.
  5. I would like to think we will go 3-4-3 with Main dropping out. Assuming Campbell will replace McCrorie in the middle. Will be gutted if it’s Ojo.
  6. Not looking forward to this one. At the moment cannot see anything other than a win for Tribute Act. To have any chance we have to go at their defence with pace but with Main and Cosgrove there in no chance we will be doing that. Be interesting to see if Wright plays or if McInnes will go with someone else as he is leaving. Personally I would play him. Oot. Flat TV Flat 2-0 No dons scorer.

  8. Queen of South beat Queens Park 3-0 in first of 2nd round game.
  9. St Mirren sign Brophy on loan until the end of the season. https://kilmarnockfc.co.uk/news/eamonn-brophy-joins-st-mirren-on-loan/?fbclid=IwAR12J3lOzBm3TiaDMkDtNQxU-Dv97c2SSFLqahJ7vzSueEhcA0nF_qRy56s

    Coronavirus

I think the alarming thing is the sudden rise in infection in countries where they were actually obeying social distancing rules like France and Germany. Suggests the current 2m distancing (Boris’ 1m was always a joke) is no longer enough to provide a buffer from the spread of the new strains of the virus. This will mean that vaccination is the only way out of this now. From couple of pieces on the news the new variant seems to be making a lot more younger people seriously ill this time so the number of age groups you need to get vaccinated will now be higher if you are looking to prevent the NHS being overwhelmed when you open up society. I cannot see us being back to normalish until this time next year.
  11. McInnes confirms nobody coming in at today’s press conference. “We run as we are. We have a squad who obviously have got to third in the league at the halfway stage and we want to try and improve on that in the second half of the season. There is no manager out there who won’t want to make one or two adjustments to the squad but we are not in a position to be able to do that and we go as we are. No players will be here in January. If anybody would move on it would maybe change things but as it stands we don’t plan on selling anyone in January and we stay as we are.”

    GMS

According to the article there will be no next in this window.
  14. I see it’s being reported that GMS is having medical at Hearts today and will sign 2.5 year deal. Footnote to report says we had spoken to him but are now not signing anyone this window.
  15. If Wright is leaving then it needs to be abroad as he is not strong enough for the English Championship or lower. More suited to Southern European style game where it isn’t as physical. Be interesting to see where he ends up. We need to move now for his replacement though so at worst the player is on the books for preseason.
  16. I genuinely don’t know what’s more depressing Wright moving it on or the fact we extend the contract of a very limited player like Leigh. I know he is a bench filler but with system we playing he will get game time.
  17. I think there maybe a struggle with getting fixtures completed on time for Euros given current bad weather on top of potential for COVID to cancel fixtures but do not think they will not be the cancelling season. Might see teams having to play games at the end of season without players who are in euro squads.
  18. Bonnyrigg beat Bo’ness 5-2 last week and now face Dundee in next round which is one of TV games. This weekend.
  19. The damage Trump has done to democracy in the US is immeasurable. He has given the lunatic fringe a cause to get behind with his claims that the election has been stolen and pushed more into believing there is no democracy in their country. This is a lunatic fringe who have a legal right to bare arms.
  20. It all depends which GMS turns up. Need him to perform consistently as when he is on his game he is unplayable. However the drop off when he is not at his best is remarkable and he is a waste of the jersey on those days. Suppose if he was consistent he would not be a potential signing for us.
  21. Right side. Seen him at right back and right central midfield for reserves. Arbroath seemed to use him predominantly in midfield.
  22. Bairns will have you up.
  23. Virtanen being recalled from Arbroath. https://www.eveningexpress.co.uk/fp/sport/football/aberdeen-fc/donsnews/aberdeen-recall-anderson-and-virtanen-from-loan-deals/amp/
  24. Agreed although he would have fitted our system. Think we have other priorities.
