Quiet day at work Rico? I do agree that not having the technical director in place is maybe starting to look a little odd now and was something that should have been done before manager was hired. In Germany it is the technical/sporting director that drives the club policy and ethos and he is the man responsible for getting in the coach to work towards achieving that. Technical director should also be involved in setting recruitment policy. I doubt we are scouting a lot of these players. I suspect they are identified off the analytics only rather than a combination of both. For example I cannot believe anyone went and watched Ambrose and thought he would do a job in our league. We seem to be signing a combination of players already known to the manager or players whose stats tick a box. Transfers this window do not seem to have been focused on areas of greatest need.

It’s a horrible position to be in needing these blue bigots to win. It’s also embarrassing that a team as bad as they are is going to finish 2nd. They are piss poor.

I don’t think we will get Cameron either. No problem going for either but they are long shots and we need to have others lined up to bring in if this fails. Time to go for Cameron was last summer when there might have been less competition.

That was a disgrace today. We offered very little going forward and getting beat defensively the same way every week with long ball over the top. For first time I am seriously questioning the manager. He needs to adjust his systems to players he has rather than keep trying to fit square pegs into round holes.

Could be the shoulder injury is part of the reason he hasn’t been performing rather than him downing tools like folk have been suggesting.

With more injuries in midfield being confirmed today do we need to consider getting someone in as well as the much needed striker.

Jimmy saying Polvara has had an injury set back and will be out for a while.

For those unfortunate enough to rely on public transport it looks like there will be no trains before midday tomorrow.

Ambrose looked sub league 2 standard on Saturday. I just cannot see how we can continue with him as he looks well off the standard required. Nisbet looked okay with Gueye earlier in the season and scored goals previously in this league for us. Until we get a replacement in think we have to stick with Nisbet.

Halbeath is about hours walk from Dunfermline. Do not think there is a bus that gets you there in time for first bus but probably the second. Games should be at times it is easy for fans to travel to not one that requires leaving the house at 6 in the morning. I will probably just head up on Saturday and visit/freeload on in laws and stay over.

Public transport options are not great. Only one train from Edinburgh that arrives at 1147 that Pars fans would need to get to Kirkcaldy to pick up. No direct bus either to Aberdeen from Dunfermline but by changing and walking to Halbeath there is one bus that arrives on time. No train from Glasgow or Inverness line gets you on in time for kick off.

TV picks for 5th round sadly includes a half 12 kick off on a Sunday.

Didn’t think we played particularly well last Saturday but hopefully win will have lifted the confidence of the players. Would assume Gueye will start and Ambrose to be replaced by Nisbet. Hopefully Keskinen is fit and can start. St Mirren are big physical side so if MacKenzie is fit I would be tempted to play him at left back and move Jensen into midfield to provide a bit more strength and pace. Still not not sure if going up yet. Hopefully the worst weather will be through and doesn’t affect the game yet. 1-1 Gueye
