  1. Bad news for me as Loch Lomond is only a couple of hours away from me and the Scottish Open was easily the closest world class sporting event. Still, if it helps get Tiger to play then I'm sure Barclays will get over the fact that I won't be there to watch. Not quite as disappointing as sitting in the clubhouse yesterday with a new record score for our winter league's two-ball better-ball competition, which last for a full 10 mins until the last game of the day came in a beat us with a better inward half
  2. In/oot: Out Prematcher: Gowf Match: Radio Postmatcher: Staying in Prediction: Optimistic head on, 0-0
  3. Me and three mates are in
  4. What was the situation with McArdle then? Wasn't the Rochdale manager pissed off that we got him for nothing? Was it because he was 23 when he actually joined us rather than signing his pre-contract?
  5. Give us the Pars for a wee bit of revenge - hopefully fate isn't listening and feeling tempted by that
  6. Unfortunately not if he goes to England or abroad. We'll only get cash if he goes to another Scottish team.
  7. He's just repeated that on STV's shite Friday night programme.
  8. In/oot: Oot Prematch: Golf course Match: Radio Postmatch: Pub Prediction: 3-0 Dons
  9. Let's face it, Scottish football is fucked either way. They can try changing formats all they want but nothing will stop the slide to oblivion that started as soon as money became the main motivation and no-one did anything to stop the Glasgow hoors taking the lion's share of it. The ideal scenario for me would be a reset button that would see all clubs going bankrupt and new teams being formed by supporters and run in a similar way to the German clubs. Kinda like FC Utd of Manchester but on a nationwide scale
  10. First bets since August: Bolton, Man City, Spurs and Cardiff returned £170 for a tenner
  11. He's a great guy! I'm £200 better off thanks to his efforts
  12. Nice one lads. Let's hope it wasn't just new manager syndrome and we can keep it up on Wednesday. Especially as I'm going - my first game of the season
  13. Ah, if that's the case then my apologies. BBC website has him listed.
  14. And McNamee.

  16. That boy Balotelli is a fruitcake. The more maniacs like him on the go the better
  17. We aren't going to go down anyway so it's a moot point (fate well and truely tempted now).
  18. Nail on head. That is a big reason why players like Folly and McArdle started off reasonable well but have descended to the same level of shatness as the rest of them.
  19. Arsenal proving that pretty football is all well and good against the also-rans but you need a bit more about you against the better sides. Van der Sar didn't have a save to make all night.
  20. They seem to be trying to go down the American football route by building up the Monday night game as something special to finish off the week. That works in America as they generally only play on two nights a week and there isn't a live game of some sort every night like we get over here. There seems to have been more "big" teams playing on a Monday night this season than there used to be the last time Sky had the Monday night games.
  21. He doesn't get to do "the last word" on a Sunday when there is a game on Monday night so the annoying bastard has to get his moment of glory then instead
  22. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jocky_Scott Fair enough it's Wikipedia but I'd imagine the stats will be close enough. Other than his successful time as co-manager with Smith he's done absolutely nothing of any significance in his other jobs, all of which have been with fairly shite clubs. Fair enough if people want to go down the experienced route but I'd suggest any such manager would need to actually be a good manager as well as being old for that to work. I'm genuinely intrigued as to why people think he'd be a good option.
  23. I think the team talk on the pitch incident has overshadowed a lot of the good work Brown had done wth Hull up to that point. He isn't my first choice - that would be Stevie Clark with Duncan Shearer as assistant - but I'd much prefer him to Shughes, John McGlynn or Jocky Scott, who I reckon is only being suggested because people like his character in the real Leigh Griffiths blog thing
  24. I think Curbishley would be tremendous and maybe not as far out of reach as he once was. Really surprised that he doesn't have a club at the moment.
  25. As Jeff just said on Sky: "The real crisis club in Scotland is Aberdeen. Lost their last six games, with an aggregate of 18 goals to 2." Fucking shocking state of affars. The Sammon boy from Killie has scored 8 alone in his last 6 games.
