  1. Very true, but I just felt that it was obvious that Wright was in a better position. I can't fault Aluko for ever having a go because he is one of the few that consistently true to get shots away. With Maguire, I think he was full of confidence, and we know he can put them away from such an angle so i'm sure thats why he didn't pass it to Mackie. Either way, 3 points, whoop whoop
  2. The highlights didn't show up until you posted that link. So cheers! I think I pretty much agree with you there, shame Aluko didn't square it to Wright when he was clearly in a better position. Wright also had a good shout for a penalty, but these things happen. It sounded like Maguire played well and it looks like he was very lively from the highlights. Well done Aberdeen, keep it going!
  3. Haha I live in Glasgow now, but just a) can't afford it and b) can't afford to take that amount of time off from uni I'll just noise up the weegies in my usual style
  4. Ah jimmy ffs sack the Donstalk board!
  5. Maybe Aluko is getting tired because he's carried the "creative" torch all season? I'm sure once Smith gains some fitness and form we will see the best come out of Aluko as he won't be the sole target anymore and hopefully will give him a bit more freedom (providing he doesn't go back to take on a guy for the sake of it!)
  6. Certainly sounded like a terrible game of football! I think the most important thing confidence wise and points wise was that we got the victory. It keeps us in a shout for third, especially with the Arabs and Hearts losing to. And even more importantly, gets that monkey off our back and hopefully means that we can push on from here. Lets just hope so anyway!
  7. Probably, but I just don't think Mulgrew warrants a place in the team at all. He has been (in true Sun styli) HORRENDOUS for a long time now and needs to be dropped to get a kick up the arse!
  8. I actually thought Carrick had a good game. But yeah I agree with what you say about Evra, he's been very poor for a long time now. I certainly didn't see that coming but you knew United couldn't carry winning for that long a period, but as you said, just a shame it was to those scum bags from Liverpool. Hopefully United won't bottle under pressure!
  9. Ooft. I think this was the team line up. Langfield Vidal, Diamond, Mair, Mulgrew Smith, Kerr, Seve, Aluko Wright and Maguire Surprised Mulgrew hasn't been dropped for this and that Foster hasn't been placed to do a man marking jobbie!
  10. 3-1 to the scum. Liverpool have played well but I think united have been poor today. Vidic (sent off) and Evra the stand outs. Don't know what's been wrong with the two of them today, especially Vidic as he's usually so composed. Oh well, I suppose it extends the title "race". Edit: Flock me, 4-1, Dossena. Great finish.
  11. Possibly, had that thought earlier in the game too. I don't think they need to change much though, just need to start getting balls into the box.
  12. Liverpool 2-1 up now, Gerrard penalty....Bloody scousers.
  13. That in itself is a shame for us. I don't rate him very highly. Don't know much about Hivs this season, what is the rest of their backline like?
  14. Indeed, though a win for Hibs wouldn't be the worst result in the world. Just need to hope Hibs avoid defeat!
  15. Hibs one up in the Edinburgh derby, Fletcher with a header. Man utd - Liverpool game is pretty good so far. 1-1 now, Penalty by Ronaldo then Vidic cocked up tremendously to allow Torres through to equalise. Still a good game though, nice open football.
  16. That is the right attitude Duffers, show it on the park like we know the team can do! Enough of this respect shite, we need to fucking fire right into them from the get go and not take our foot of the pedal! COME ON YOU REDS! :ultras:
  17. Totally. As much of a prick he is, he knows how to rile the media up and I found it hilarious what he did in the US senate. But yes, most definitely, he is a prick of the highest order.
  18. Kowalski, I used to think the same thing about Vidal, but for the St Mirren game he was absolute murder. I don't want to chance him against a team that can actually score a couple against us. I agree with the comment re foster on Mcarthy for the game. Its what Foster does best, man marking the fuck out of a talented player.
  19. I think its quite clear we don't have the strength in depth to be able to challenge for 2nd spot. However, we all know, we should have been 3rd by now or there abouts had we not thrown away a number of silly points. I think thats more the point that Kerr and probably A_L is making. Lets just hope they get our season on the tracks again by a win against Hamilton, I don't care what anyone says, our form has been shite (despite not losing many). We need to rectify this problem and start getting 3 points from games! COME ON YOU REDS!!
  20. My thoughts exactly! But he strikes me as that kind of guy and its a reason why if Jimmy C left, I would hope he got offered the job and took up the opportunity!
  21. This is one of the few things in this thread that makes sense! Foster and Duffers certainly are no Journeymen!
