  1. This is what worries me, I (and a few others I have spoken to) just can't get over this. I didn't feel this negative about our club last season, or the season before last. I returned to positivity after the Smeltic game last season and seeing us battle and be robbed of a legitimate goal. This one really has rocked me though, I think since I knew this actually was our best posible chance of some silverware but yet again we blew it in monumental fashion. I just can't see where this win is going to come from, and I'm surprised he met any positive Aberdeen fans that actually supported him. But we'll just have to wait and see, can't see there being a big support for this game, hopefully the players and management will feel they have something to prove though, because the Hivs result did fuck all. COME ON YOU REDS.
  2. I just worry that he won't actually tell us a) anything new b) what we want to hear. But I'll wait patiently for his article before jumping to any conclusions. I hope its something that we want to hear (in the form of answers). I think there are signs of progress off the park but its the progress on the park that counts and at the moment its gone very very stale.
  3. Haha whoops It actually seemed like one of the more sensible options i've heard lately! I think the only reason why people want McGhee is because he's an ex player, but he's still part of this managers boys club which seems to have formed.
  4. That does concern me Harcus! I'm sure we've all said on here that we don't think he'd be the right man for the job. Not that we have any other real alternatives, but would we be able to afford Mike Newell? Not a bad shout otherwise! Re my point about third, I think so. I felt we pretty much killed it off by not beating St. Midden as that was the moment I felt we could have pushed ourselves into contention. I know mathematically we can still achieve 3rd, I just don't think we will achieve it with the way we are playing, and Hearts seem pretty solid at the moment. But I guess we'll just have to see which Aberdeen team shows up over the course of the rest of the season.
  5. Does he really think that people will accept the look at where we were and where we are now spiel?? There is only so many times that excuse can be wheeled out, and my, has it been wheeled out every time we've been knocked out of the cup by a team we shouldn't have. We deserve better but you know what I mean, I think Willie is playing with fire here. They keep thinking that its just because of the Pars result, its not, its a culmination of results. Whilst I agree it is important for the club to stay united to ensure we finish 4th (3rd is near enough out of the question), I will be interested to see what he has to say, I just get the feeling its another "look at what we've done, stats stas and more stats, you should be grateful" article.
  6. He won't ever learn though, thats my biggest issue, he never ever does.
  7. I was thinking the same thing, in particular with harry potter, but considering Jimmy's recent events i'm very surprised his name wasn't mentioned. Maybe we're clutching at straws here, but generally I do disagree with the article. There is no way in hell that managers set their teams up to win every game in the SPL. Motherwell Killie game recently was absolutely dreadful. What a waste. But re his training facilities comment. Is that ever more likely to happen than the new stadium?
  8. Good to know that others recognise its all a lie too
  9. I think this pretty much sums it up for me. What annoys me the most is the audacity that he possesses to even mention himsef in the same light as Walter Hun Smith and Gordon ginger man Strachan. These two are winners, that win things. We are a club that expect to be at least challenging for trophies (cups not the league) and it just feels that he has a distinct lack of respect for us, the fans of Aberdeen Football Club with his ramblings in the press. I am resigned to the fact that he will not be going anywhere any time soon, but alas I shall not be returning to pittodrie until he leaves (we'll see if I actually stick to that). But I feel by actually going along to Pittodrie, that it acts as a sign that I am willing to forgive him for his actions. I don't know if this makes a little if any sense, but its just how disillusioned I currently feel. Im sick of this merry go round, and whilst I want us to qualify for the Europa league, I can't just help but think that much like last time, it will just paper of the huge cracks within our club.
  10. Couldn't have put it any better myself and saddens me to think that we know the club will react in this manner. As I mentioned in another post the club don't know what the club is about anymore, they are turning fans away from the club by carrying out their apparent lack of care for a club that is loved by the most important people to them, the fans.
  11. I'm getting sick and tired of these of bloody articles in the paper. Of all the articles the only one that did the fans justice in any shape or form is the Graham Spiers one. But then again, I suppose its not surprising considering Jimmy's cronnies in the various media departments. 3 results out of 219? You are kidding yourself on Jimmy, these were the final straw for many fans. Lets face it, you don't lose the support of the fans after 3 games. WAKE THE FUCK UP JIMMY.
  12. Good race today, was going to make it up for the live showing but failed to wake up after getting to bed at 4.30. What an ending to the race!
  13. Completely agree with your post and especially the highlighted bit. I think thats been the most frustrating thing with Calderwood, his lack of humility and honesty. There is no way that there will be many people there to support JC next week, and tbh I don't know if he will realise he's lost the fans until he's sacked! His ego appears to be that big. This article really pisses me off and its something that me and TC were discussing last night. No-one outwidth the fans, know our club anymore. The board clearly don't understand the fans, the management certainly don't, and neither do the players (bar possibly Mackie and Duffers).
  14. Yeah you tell him But I wholeheartedly agree with what you've said

Looks like an awesome start to this season! Great to see if back on BBC Brawn GP look like they are going to give the establishment a good run for their money! Hopefully this will be the season we get to see what the real Jenson Button is made of and whether or not he has the skills to win a couple of rases.
  16. How the fuck would this be a snap decision anyway, he's fucked up every domestic cup run we've had ffs! Especially in the last 3 years.
  17. That I don't disagree with, but he does seem quite eloquent and comes across quite well in the press.
  18. I see Craig Levein is backing JC and saying the club should ignore the fans calling for his head!
  19. Aye that was Paterson, and as FJ correctly says, the other way a reversal of the 2-3 result, as Bellamy had a stormer, Pasquinelli scored both our goals?
  20. 23. Name dropping managers in different leagues that he is "friends" with.
  21. Good strong message, I just hope the club actually take it seriously. Something needs to be done, but i'm not too sure if it should be now or at the end of the season
  22. What an absolute load of bull that story is. Christ, the bigger picture is we're shite in cups and go out to teams we shouldn't do and generally don't set the heather alite in the league. Attacking football? You are having a laugh. Same old Jimmy, same old story. I just pray to fuck he's gone by the summer no matter what happens between now and then. You've done your bit Jimmy but we can't keep building a new team. The buck stops with you, whilst you've provided us with some awesome highs, you're beginning to provide us with far too many lows and still speak shite in the press. I agree wholeheartedly with the article by Crighton and I generally do think he speaks what most of us are thinking at the times. I think most of us felt some optimism coming into and during January (Hamilton game aside) and I think he's been very consistent with JC's tenure, inconsistent (if that makes sense?).
  23. Naturally, but as I said, I thought he looked far more comfortable and competent in midfield. I genuinly thought he'd never played right back before in his life! That's how bad he was. Yes he's young, but as I said, he knew nothing about positional marking or awareness. I think he gave one guy about 10/15m of space when you could see the ball was going to go there. But i'm not sure how much this was to do with the tombola man's tactics because the players looked lost that night.
