  1. Just seen the goals, god what terrible defending Nice finishes nonetheless and credit to their team being able to punish us.
  2. I'm glad, it needs to be said. Too many of the squad have been coasting in that team for far too long. Out of curiousity, what happened to our linking with Klimpl? I take it he hasn't signed for anyone and he certainly sounded like he was keen to link up with MM again? I also don't really agree with Duncan Shearer's article, JC got money to spend, its only fair that MM gets a decent wad to spend now its patently obvious our squad lacks anything. As I said, you get what you pay for.
  3. Surely you don't begrudge him that move do you capitalsharpie?!? He deserved that move, and its a shame it hasn't worked out for him. But hopefully, the board realise now really is the time to replace him and hopefully Hart as well! Otherwise its going to be one helluva season for all the wrong reasons.
  4. Well I'd say we'd need three in defence alone, before we even consider the rest of the team. I'd prefer if he knew who they were and perhaps got them before thursday, just so they get a bit of a run around with the "team" before the tims game.
  5. Having stayed in Dalry, I can categorically state that this is a lie
  6. One thing I will say, its refreshing to see a manager shoulder the blame. Obviously I wish he'd rather not have to, but refreshing nonetheless.
  7. I heard that, but we have also heard conflicting reports, McGhee said the same amount of money was available at the time of signing and obviously the club had said that our budget wouldn't be affected by Sultana etc...but clearly the club have since altered that statement now. I know we're skint, but surely sometimes they've got to ask themselves, when does the cost of not investing overshadow the cost of investment?
  8. Something myself and Sharpie pointed out last night was that this wouldn't have happened under JC. Yes, it probably wouldn't have been fun or interesting and probably down right suicidal (granted this was the latter), but it would not have been a 1-5 defeat at home. I hope to god McGhee gets some support from the board because we fucking need investment and they have been messing about for 2 years now in not replacing Anderson and now if it couldn't be any clearer, IS THAT TIME. You get what you pay for, and to be frank as soon as that lineup was announced we collectively went, oh oh, what the fuck. We need a right back and we need a centre half to play alongside Zander/support him when he's not playing! I'm embarrassed, and grateful I wasn't there. AFC Board, wake the fuck up.
  9. I did try, just for you Now enjoy the game!
  10. Fear not cts, its just pre 12 o clock/lunch blues, once its after lunch time, you'll feel the buzz. I feel exactly the same way as you do, in fact, i've never felt so unexcited for a start of a season and I have no idea why. But, these Euro nights are the ones we always dream about and get excited about. Yes, its not against a big name team, but if successful, who knows where we'll end up. Anything can happen and many a beer shall be drunk! If I was in Scotland, I would be going, no question, first competetive game of the season. Time to get behind our team! COME ON YOU REDS! :ultras: :ultras:
  11. I noticed that earlier TF and thought, if only...if only...
  12. A lot of unecessary stuff in there. Anyway back on topic. I didn't like Ferrari when he drove for them, so I guess its back to the old way. But hopefully they'll still fail He had some outstanding drives, but at the end of the day was a cheat. I don't like it or condone it so I now hope even more than before that Button holds on to his top spot. I also see that BMW are not going to be competing in F1 next season.
  13. So he's scored his first goal? About time and good on him, hope its the first of many!
  14. Apparently MM said in a press conference today that he is more hopeful than positive Diamond will make the game tomorrow. I really hope he makes it, we really need him to be fit for the whole season. What would that leave us with? Foster - holm? - Considine - Mulgrew
  15. IN/OUT: Out PREMATCH: My house MATCH: Hopefully Sharpie's with a stream POSTMATCH: Home
  16. I see he's officially signed for them now. From the BBC:
  17. Those are my thoughts on the matter. As much as I loved the scraps, he won near enough every race, it just got boring. But I disagree, I have found it quite interesting this year. Plenty of different winners and I think it will be only a matter of time before Button is overtaken. I also think my enjoyment is because its back on the BBC, I have a hatred for itv.
  18. I found F1 incredibly boring with Michael Schumacher, but obviously with Ferrari not being as strong as before I don't think he'd make much of an impact. Apparently the injury to his (Massa) eye could threaten his career.
  19. Was thinking the same thing. Swallow Swallow must be in meltdown with the lack of activity snake mountain way!
  20. Nice of the club to keep us informed. Clearly they are aware that the fans are starting to get a bit fidgety with regards to the lack of positive movement at Pittodrie. Nothing we didn't really know has been said, but nice touch nonetheless.
  21. I've not had any problems starting new topics or with the site. In fact, the loading speed of pages has increased
  22. I'm sure its because it was different competitions. Look at Arshavin, wasn't able to play for Arsenal in the Champs league after he'd turned out for Zenit earlier on in the season.
  23. Completely agree (I know you hate those words) but it is true. Its been frustrating as hell, but I'm not holding MM responsible, these things happen. I had my doubts about the guy when he was quoted last week saying he wasn't sure about us. I hope we haven't put all our eggs in one basket, but we'll just have to wait and see. We do need decent signings in the critical areas, and fast.
  24. Oh well, at least we've finally made a signing, and yes, Bateman must be shite
  25. That is very true, but Hammel would still be useless due to his unavailability. As i've said before though, I view CB and RB as critical, despite it being open to debate, we have a player in Foster who could play LB.
