  1. Thought we looked a bit sloppy on the line outs, compared with last week when we absolutely bossed them, but i am nit picking. I didn't want to commit to saying they looked very good There is clear progress and it was a great watch!
  2. A huge shame as he was a great keeper. But if he wasn't so injury prone, there is no way fans would even be thinking of getting him.
  3. Was quite impressed with Scotland's performance on sat, easily the most entertaining game of the weekend. We look good going forward, still plenty of mistakes but it's all very encouraging. It disgusts me that England could seal this at a canter. The press down here are going to be unbearable.
  4. Hayes really needs to sort his form out. He's been shocking now for a good few months. I really cannot understand Browns insistence on playing 4-5-1. We are clearly crap using it at the moment, Its almost like he hasn't learnt anything from previous games The results went our way yesterday, but yet we can't even take our chances. We'll be lucky to make top 6 imo.
  5. Never realised that jute, guess I shouldn't be surprised really.
  6. Barcelona playing getafe now, didn't think Spanish teams played this early?!?!
  7. well that sounded pish. Great response.
  8. I don't trust brown to deploy properly anymore. Was completely wasted out wide. But do agree, definitely an asset if fit.
  9. St Mirren (H) (11th) draw Dundee (H) (12th) Win Kilmarnock (A) (9th) loss Ross County (H) (10th) Win Motherwell (H) (3rd) Draw Celtic (A) (1st) loss Hearts (H) (8th) Loss Dundee United (A) (7th) Win 11/24
  10. http://static.guim.co.uk/interactivestore/2013/2/1/1359683910917/471154/index.html Pretty cool!
  11. In/Oot - OutPrematcher - Family friends 30th wedding anniversary. Match - Pub, hopefullyPostmatcher - pub, definitely. Prediction - 1-1.
  12. Levein / latrine, same difference
  13. Can't say I'm not a bit disappointed by this, hopefully he'll be sacked by the time CB's contract is up.... Nottingham Forest chairman Fawaz Al Hasawi says that his decision to name Billy Davies, 48, as the club's fourth manager in seven months does not mean he is an interfering owner.
  14. Well, a win is a win, must be close to beating latrines record already Missed the game but can't say im that fussed about it.
  15. Blimey, he didn't last long did he!
  16. Shame they didn't do that before the cup game
  17. Apparently so, even here! http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/21319807
  18. Amusing advert with McIlroy and Woods: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/golf/article-2262263/Rory-McIlroy-Tiger-Woods-star-new-comedy-advert-VIDEO.html#axzz2JwH8BIfO FYI, I do not read the DM!
  19. My strengthening comment was more as a general point at the moment in time (i.e. games leading up to it). But I am in complete agreement with the rest of your point though. As soon as I saw the team sheet, I was left confused and I don't think you needed any foresight to predict this result. Then he kept changing things throughout the whole game whilst avoiding the obvious answer...which came with 20 mins to go. This negativity has cost us our season, the players are clearly capable of playing exciting attacking football, but positional tinkering and negative tactics have ensured that it can't happen. From what I saw, there was absolutely no passion from our bench, whatsoever. In stark contrast to the HIVs.
  20. Aye Mav, attendances are going to plummet and it's perfectly understandable. The horrific thing for the club is that it's happened so early, i'm not sure how they will recover from this. The only thing the club are good at is driving the fans away. I was reading Johnny Hayes' tweets last night and he certainly knows his form has been nothing short of shocking for the past few months and seems to be genuinely hurting. Still, he's not had to endure this for decades (for me personally, the whole duration of my time as a fan). I hope somehow that the team manage to use this as a serious wake up call and put a run together in the league, as unlikely as it is. The failure to strengthen in Jan has seriously bitten us in the arse.
  21. So, who do you want in? To be honest, I think we could do worse than Billy Davies (if he'd take the job). Played good football when managing Forest and hasn't been in the limelight for a while, certainly wouldn't take any crap. The only other option would be Derek McInnes, but other than these two, I can't really think of anyone that I would want to see at the helm. Someone with a fucking clue would be a start
  22. The last two paragraphs are spot on. I couldn't help but the think that Milsom was wasted out wide. He doesn't have the pace to be a winger and Hughes...well...less said the better imo. Padre made the Hayes comment on Fezbook too, it's certainly something i've noticed the past few weeks. Incredibly frustrating to watch because he always loses it. If he produced something special, I would understand.
  23. I was going to use the stats to back that up, but BBC clearly weren't watching the game. They actually have us as having 9 shots, with hibs having 8...despite sky coverage at one point...circa 20 mins to go had hibs having 9. We should have started the game in that manner. Too defensive, too negative and we got what we deserved. Nothing.
  24. Good post Manonmoons and all posts have been on the money. I cannot fault Langfield for once, he was probably one of the few players that performed. That strike was a worth match winner, but let's not get wrapped up in all that. Our performance was abysmal and not worthy of the support of the fans that had to endure that. Season well and truly over and I cannot see Brown lasting long after this. Who next, I don't know. I think the club were hoping we'd just tick over at least to the quarters and hope that he would leave at the end of the season...i'm not sure that this is possible anymore. Hibs were easily there for the taking, but they've found themselves a very good GK. I felt bad for Vernon, but that chance he had was unforgivable. He really should have slotted that away first time. You never get time and space in the box. However BR, Fallon is not the answer. He truly is an awful footballer. As others have said, i'd like to say i'm surprised by this, but i'm really not. A completely underwhelming end to the season considering what potential it promised. FFS Aberdeen
