  1. Article in the EE, feel for him, I really do but sadly it is for the best:
  2. A few new posters of late, welcome aboard!
  3. This would please me greatly. Hopefully wed see quite a quick upturn of performance. Wasn't he the one that brought in (i'll whisper it)....Bossu to the club?
  4. Would like to see hibs back up and motherwell down. Just hope hibs can turn it around! *massivefingerscrossedsmilie*

    Darts

I do like watching and been trying to get tickets for the championships but always seem to miss the dates. Used to play a fair bit in Holland / Manc but there's not that many darts boards down here. ED did just send me some AFC flights for my darts though so hopefully get back into it Just wish there wasn't such a noticeable difference between the BDO and PDC competitions.
  6. Is that a permanent thing though, I thought it was a temporary thing?
  7. http://sport.stv.tv/football/clubs/partick-thistle/1321180-steven-lawless-handed-two-match-ban-for-betting-on-513-games/ Steven Lawless (Partick) has been handed a 2 match ban for betting on football. Is it really a bad thing though? Surely unless you are betting on games your involved with (i.e. your club), does it matter?
  8. DM was saying on RedTV that the club should do everything possible to encourage more noise and in particular, a singing section. Let's hope the rest of the powers that be agree.
  9. Sure this will cause a bit of a stir amongst a few of you https://www.pressandjournal.co.uk/fp/lifestyle/name-it/328555/16-things-might-know-aberdeen-rowies/
  10. Well, van Praag has withdrawn. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/32826308 Hopefully it means that the others (i.e. not that fat swiss cunt) have colluded and trying to ensure the votes go towards the strongest candidate.
  11. The bit in bold is going to take a bit of getting used to. He's been in the team for most of my Dons supporting life I know he's not really featured this season, but he's still the captain.
  12. Competent player is Joe, always thought that and was surprised we're letting him go.
  13. Absolute useless bastards. If they fuck it up, Scottish football should close them down.
  14. Was actually thinking the same thing earlier this week RS. Its difficult to see where things will change because, as you point out the money stays within the same circles. Depressing as fuck if you only look at it on the surface, but I think times are changing. People are mobilising, people aren't accepting that.things are the way they are because that's the way things are. I'd even go as far to say the SNP are an example of it with their attitude in the commons. People shouldn't accept. Someone said to me the other day that we shouldn't always question, I queried why not . the way I see it, the day we stop questioning is the day we stop learning and may as well accept ourselves being slaves.
  15. Fantastic news, yet again, he's shown why he so highly regarded by those at the club as well as the supporters. If he goes next summer, I would be very pleased for him. As i and many others have said, he's stuck with us, learnt his trade and got a seriously high number of appearances for someone of his age. Seeing what he and McLean could do in midfield next season is something I really want to see.
  16. From reading a bit about him, seems like he may be on the verge of the main squad so must be highly regarded at least. Having Hart to learn from can only be a good thing.
  17. Well this is in today's BBC Gossip column: Doesn't sound like we're looking for a new no.1 if i'm honest.
  18. Final game of the season, Ando's final game in a Dons shirt. I hope it's a complete sell out and Rooney manages to break the record as it would be a great send off for one of the best players i've personally seen play for us. It's been a great season, probably should have delivered more but I am happy with the progress we have made. All on the proviso that this is a stepping stone for greater things next season! Looks like it's heading for a sell out anyway, and so it should be with £10 tickets!
  19. Amusing read: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/politics/11613350/SNP-MPs-invade-Labour-benches-in-Commons.html Glad to see they are ruffling a few feathers.
  20. Robson signs a new one year deal: http://www.afc.co.uk/news/6112#.VVs8f_lVhBc
  21. That is excellent news, was really hoping that there would be a decent turn out for this just to stick two fingers up to the nae sayers. Nice touch from the players too, not often you read that, especially in Scotland.
  22. Reynolds has been called up for it. I'm surprised, genuinely think this has been his worst season with us.
  23. Apparently Robson is signing a new 1 year deal today. Nice to read that he just wants to play and isn't holding the club to ransom (not that I think he would anyway).
  24. I think acting earlier in the summer would definitely make sense. Gives the squad longer to gel and obviously gives him more time to assess the players. Can't remember if it was in this thread or another, but it was an interesting question to pose (re his success in the transfer window outwith Scotland). Really hadn't thought about it before but it's not the greatest success rate. Do we have any scouts any scouts outside of Scotland anymore?
