Looks like 4-4-2 again?
According to his interview in the Scotsman, he doesn't know what he's doing at the end of the season yet. Depending on how our season turns out, he may well stay.
Sounds like he and Willo should be fit for the final run in. With the way we are playing at the moment it's hard to see how they'll fit in but having them fit is definitely a bonus as we'll need to rotate the squad. Middle trio of Storie / Jack / McLean wouldn't be bad at all.
I know Smith it seems like a bit of a marmite player, some like him, others think he's had his chance and we should get rid. I can't say I've seen enough of him to do anything but what I have seen he seems to try and get into good positions. Much more so than Shankland did. Can't disagree with your last sentence though, neither have done enough to really make a positive contribution to the team on a consistent basis. Shame really, had big hopes for them both.
We've lost to Caley once this season and managed a draw in the other fixture. I've always felt that they were a bit of a bogey team. St. Johnstone being the other. Maybe just because the games are always hard work.
The past two results have been a massive statement of intent and have been fantastic to see. However, Caley have been our other bogey team this season so this would go even further as being a marker for the team. Can see McInnes reverting to the Celtic formation for this one to give a few more opportunities up front. I suppose it all depends on injuries etc...Really do need to make sure we avoid any silly mistakes that allowed the saints back into the game on Saturday.
In / Out: Out
Prematch: Work
Match: Flat
Postmatch: Flat
Prediction: 2-1 Dons, McGinn and Taylor
Interesting stats (this season) from the latest BTM podcast.
Ward - no goals conceded beyond the 75th minute
Brown - 4/6 goals conceded have been scored post the 75th minute
Are the defence not as confident without Ward between the sticks? I know it's not really worth dwelling on what was and it can't all be laid at the feet of Brown, but the stats don't lie.
