I'm not an arsenal fan but I never understand the criticism levelled at Wenger. He's been building for a couple of years now and whilst I think there were times he probably should have invested, he's gradually started doing so. The stadium has been paid off (I think?) and there is now money available. He started with Giroud, Callum Chambers, then jumped up to Ozil and Sanchez. Cech was a master stroke, i'm still amazed Chelsea let him go to a rival, on a free. Don't get me wrong, i've laughed long and hard at Arsenal fans for all their talk they always failed to win a trophy after those halcyon days. But they're now in a better position than most of the bigger clubs. I will give you his lack of ruthlessness though, seems a soft touch, but I wouldn't say he isn't a winner because of it. He know's how to win but until now I don't think he's allowed himself the resources to do so for one reason or another.
