  1. Ooft, United out of the chumps league and join the red team from the wrong end of the Mersey in the europa
  2. Beat Dunfermline 4-0 today, hattrick from Storie and another goal from Ross. Hopefully see these two step up into the first team a bit more over the next few weeks.
  3. Features on the latest By the Min Aberdeen podcast https://soundcloud.com/bytheminsport/btm-aberdeen-podcast-21-arild-stavrum-special
  4. Another question, does this mean that it may actually be in teams favour to play for the draw and win on penalties? I'd have thought that you should reward a team for scoring 2 or more goals more than a team winning on penalties.
  5. I've heard it a number of times on TV over the past 2 seasons. Highly embarrassing.
  6. Heard about this on the radio this morning, where did all this come from? All for the first part of the league cup format but as others have said, why leave it so long to play the semis and the final? Are they working on the assumption that Scottish teams will still be in Europe up until Christmas? Personally, I can't see the point in a winter break, weather is unpredictable, trying to find a few weeks where there might be less bad weather is impossible. We have shit weather in the summer ffs.
  7. If he stands for presidency after what he said I'll genuinely be worried. Absolute idiocy, don't care what anyone says about political correctness, because as those who know me I don't really give a shit, but he's inciting hatred. He's up there with the hook man from Jordan.
  8. Anyone else the panorama on this tonight? Decent watch and it's still mental to think how deep it runs. Kudos to the guy for spending so much of his time to taking down that oaf blatter.
  9. Confirmed, wonder how many people will make it after a days worth of a session in the pub! At least it's not a midday kick off.

    Travel Chaos

Rumours are it may not open again due to the number of cracked steels across the bridge!
  11. It is indeed, another blast from the past. Beat hibs 3-1 that day.
  12. in 2003, this duo scored against Hibs... Scott Booth (double) and who? No cheating and looking at Twitter. Courtesy of btmaberdeen

  14. Haha, I never actually noticed that on the weekend. Who knew
  15. Personally, I think he's found his level at County. I don't want him back for a number of reasons but the main and most important one (I feel anyway) is that he is in the past. He was part of the problem, part of the mediocrity years/decades. We've managed to purge the club pretty much entirely from the bad ju ju that existed, including the managers. This team don't need the fans on their back like they would be if he were to rejoin.
  16. I'd like to think the same. We don't need to sell to them ( from a financial perspective ) and why take the step down? The real Championship is where he'll go if anywhere. Your post put a lot of fear into my though Bobby! Fozzy back at Pittodrie? Fuck that. I enjoy booing him too much. Could see Logan going to Bolton or Rotherham. Although both are relatively cash strapped at the moment.

Anyone see Rodgers throw in final minute against the Lions? Mental throw to and catch to win it. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/american-football/35004358
  18. Goals again:
  19. I think that's a bit harsh on McGinn / McLean / Hayes / Flood who I thought all had exceptional games. It was all an enjoyable watch though. The Left Back position is an interesting one as it has knock on effects elsewhere in the team. There are times, like yesterday when Considine is a perfectly competent left back, but then there are also games where I wouldn't trust him anything. Generally against Celtic. For the first time in yonks we have an awesome left back in Shinnie, yet I thought he was incredibly effective in midfield yesterday. I like the option of being able to push him into midfield later on in the game, as WR says to change the game. I still think our bench is too lightweight to really change a game. Flood at Right Back? Not sure, I think he loses the ball too much despite his terrier like tendencies.
  20. I'm with you on that one Bb, saw a few amusing sarcastic posts on twitter saying he was undoing all of pulis' good work and making them attractive to watch. Always Thought Hughes was harshly done by at city and glad that things seem to working out for him (finally).
  21. As I said in the match thread, found it incredibly cringeworthy hearing th DG song being belted out. Personally, I'm fine with songs that lambast other teams but obviously prefer songs which are about us. Problem I've always found is that our song sheet has been somewhat limited
  22. Christ, our first clean sheet at dens Park since 2000! Brilliant performance and very enjoyable game watch. Everyone played well, harried Dundee so they couldnt relax and get going. Basically picked up from where they left off against county. Excellent start to Saturday!
  23. Goodwillie on for Rooney, put in a really good shift. Good to see our songs singing the DG song... Wonder if he'll risk Jack today.
  24. Agreed tlg. Good to see him actually run at someone like he used to. unlucky with his effort in the end.
  25. McGinn off with a groin injury, Pawlett on. Hopefully he actually does something good for a change.
