  1. The RUs will be handing out little plastic bags of confetti at the stadium. They have 600+ bags made up already. I think this will make for a decent visual Lets not rip these guys to shreds tomorrow eh ?
  2. Scott Wilson signs for Ozzies: http://nqfuryfcthejournal.blogspot.com/2009/03/news-wilson-signs-for-fury.html Does this mean this horse won't be playing on Saturday ?
  3. JC regularly under promises and over delivers when it comes to periods out through injury (with the exception of Smith & Byrne ). I'm guessing it will be about 3-4 but thats a good period to put some new energy into our strike force. Tommy gun time
  4. Evray 'ting ganna be areee
  5. Thumping Celtic at Pittodrie ? = everyone coming to Pittodrie shut up shop (3 draws in our last 3 games, 2 of which were 0-0) = teams are more wary of us and set out stall differently generally = egos get out of control and we think we just have to turn up again Time to slip back under the radar and show some humility
  6. I doubt we could make a bigger shambles of our recent pre-seasons if they had 2 days break. Cup win puts us one step from the Europa League does it not ? I'm shoving all my chips on them apples, roll on Saturday. Boom or bust.
  7. Everywhere half decent will be mobbed. Not enough staff and a nightmare getting served. BYOB in the Elizabethan
  8. In recent years results have gone in our favour in the latter part of the league so its not unreasonable to expect it. I think it is entirely down to us turnign our own form around. What this season has shown is that all teams are leaking points. If you can be the team that aren't then you make ground quickly. eg. UTD went from bottom to 3rd by winning games, we did the same. Hearts recent run of games has seen a big gap open up. Motherwell are suddenly in the mix after a wee run. Hamilton. I'd stop worrying about Hearts and UTD and just focu son us. If we can put a run together in the next 4 SPL games, we will get 3rd
  9. or get to the ticket office before 10:30 on Saturday to snap up one of the 1200 that will be left.
  10. http://www.dafc.info/forum/read.php?f=1&i=820047&t=820047 Some of these guys are even more depressed about Saturday than our doom merchants. Pars 1 - 7 Aberdeen (seven)
  11. Yes, I know who they are. I know them from afcchat also, wasn't planning to name names though
  12. Last game of the season to stop them winning the title...its tradition!
  13. The lads were in stitches on the sidelines though, he was clearly good to have about the warm up.
  14. Hearts next 4 games are Hibs, Rangers, Kilmarnock & Celtic. 8 points is easily made up if we can actually start putting 3 points on the board in our games.
  15. 1-0 Jambos. Not in the game and the cunts grind out a goal from nowhere. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrr
  16. Currently Hearts 0 Motherwell 0. As dangerous as it seems I hope Motherwell pump these cunts and keep them within 5 points. Hamilton v Hibs draw would be best result too. Keep the top 6 dream alive
  17. We were at the back on the other side of the goals so there must have been multiple groups of doom merchants.
  18. Oh please
  19. Where were you sitting out of interest ? It might have been the guys in front of us. There was a regular impromptu cry of 'you fat orange bastard'
  20. There is one thing you can be sure of. If you give up on that dream of 3rd place Hearts and UTD will start to drop points and we will be back in the hunt in a few weeks. In all seriousness, there are so many points to be lost in the coming weeks that its hard to write off any outcome. We could have Motherwell and Hibs breathing down our necks and staring at 7th place or we could be back in 3rd. Its a lottery. The depressing thing is that we cannot be too confident of beating anyone at present so who the fuck knows what is going to happen......hope that helps
  21. Watch the highlights again No highlights of Youngs shocking warm up either
  22. If it was the 'Thats a fucking terrible warm up Young' then I must confess that was me and I was most certainly doing nothing other than poking fun at the phenomonally negative position being taken by the group in front of us. I also shouted at Mackie for playing a 'terrible ball' when he contested a bounce up for the same purpose. It was indeed tiresome to hear some of the shit they were dishing out and I know these guys are some of the more ardent and regular visitors to our games. Its tragic. So if it was my shout you were offended by then I hope that sets things a little more in context
  23. Having viewed the highlights I have two more points to add. 1. I may be imagining it (or trying hard to defend him) but the way the ball bounced off the turf just before Diamond went for contact at their goal looked unusual. 2. Tommy Wrights header was pretty woeful. He bent under the ball and it came off the top of his head. I'd be stretching it if I agreed it was a great goal but a most welcome one
  24. Something myself and FJ were discussing last night at the game, did anyone else notice how awkward and cumbersome Wright is when winning headers ? Of course, his goal was an exception but it really made Miller look good in terms of flick ons and general arial control. He is more the JCB variety of striker but maybe thats what we require at present.
  25. I agree. I think Maguire was overly keen to be the hero in the second half, he is clearly trying to impress JC and knows he is running out of chances. In fact, quite a few players were almost trying too hard last night, Seve was trying to run everything and so not doing anything particularly well. Even aluko was running across field, as well as up and down to chase everything and as a result looked like he was being stretched too much. When Jamie Smith came on the game changed for me. He started to pull the game out a bit in the final third and it left Aluko with a bit more space. When Aluko is our only creatuve option then teams can snuff it out easily by putting men on him. With Smith on the field it makes it harder to do that. I hope we have the balls to play them both on saturday and pull Dunfermlines plodding back line all over the shop.
