  1. They made it clear that they have approached the 'open door' several times to no avail so felt that this would be the only way to add substance and weight to their concerns. Have to say it has been pretty successful in getting attention on the issue, we should see that as positive if we are looking for action to be taken.
  2. I'd suggest you are more likely to see Foster at ER than anyone. Hibs fans I know rate him very highly and he has played well against them in a few games in the past. I remember him giving them it tight when we gubbed them 4-0 a few seasons back. .....so, just to reiterate, rumours coming from my house is that Foster is a Hibs target.
  3. Getting £1m for Anderson weeks before his legs snapped Sol.
  4. 48. Missing one of the key principals of management - that you can't be friends with the people you manage, you never have their respect when you need it most.
  5. Wouldn't be surprised about Mackie as he often gives them a torrid time. Smith ? No chance
  6. Club have stated they will not be making a public response so we will probably not get any info on this.
  7. There is no disputing that he was very poor that night but inconsistency is a function of youth in most footballers. They lack the experience to know how to cope with every situation whether it be the opposition or their own team set up, the ups and downs of their team mates performances or simply just the conditions under foot.
  8. Its a good article and the sentiment is on the nail. Despite the clarity of view he presents, I think we will be seeing JC delivering more of the same for the next 2 years. I honestly don't think that he will go anywhere inside this contract. I can't see him being in demand and I am certain the board will not be keen to pay out any package to get rid of him only to take the risk of replacing him with a failed experiment. We need to get used to what we have.
  9. As much as it irritates people to read it, I think we are being a bit rough on this guy. As I said before: New country, different cultures New city to settle into New football league set up New footballing style Only on loan He is only 19. I'd have struggled to cope with the basic stuff in life when I was 19 under those circumstances, never mind live up to the expectations some people have for him on the football field. Give the guy some space to find a consistent level of performance, he has shown signs of being a player so have some belief.
  10. Would it twist your melons too much if I pointed out that typing that response cost you more time and energy than simply voting I'm going 4th as I too feel Hearts are good for 3rd spot now, unless they blow up completely. It has to be 4th because that will require us to finish above UTD and....well....erm......don't we always ?
  11. tommy Wright is like firing a blunderbus. If you point it in the general direction of where you want it to go then it makes a brave attempt at hitting the target. He looks utterly directionless and the biggest cheer he got was returning to the park with a white bandage on his head. That should tell you all you need to know about how he played on Saturday.

    Celeb Deaths

Had thought something similar. Its not often you see a CD when someone is not old or terminally ill.
  13. Pretty sure that shot was taken well before KO. That part of the ground was where we were standing and it was much fuller than that. Surprised you can't see ally s holding up the RU banner as he was at HT
  14. Kerr. Despite his red card he was the only player who looked like he wanted to boss the game.

    Andy Murray

Federer was very poor in that last set.
  16. The scary thing is that I wouldn't write it off. No team in the league, including the OF is guaranteed of 3 points in any game at the moment. There are a lot of very poor sides in our league at present so its a lottery as far as I can see.
  17. That just simply isn't true. There is undoubtedly a collective sense on this forum that we should be taking a wider scope and a more rational viewpoint when analysing the football, the players and the performances. To say that we are all accepting of mediocrity and that you are not allowed to criticise players is such a childish comment and only serves to back up why you are 'shot down in flames' so often.
  18. The sending off baffled me, I didn't even realise he had been sent off until NQ pointed it out. We really had nothing to offer up front today. It was a pretty similar story to recent weeks, Kerr and Aluko running around like lunatics trying to mop up all the slack being left by others across the park. when Kerr gets the ball he seems to have very little in the way of out ball and so looks a bit lost, Jamie Smith was doing exactly the same today. It makes us look like we are utterly devoid of ideas, which we probably are. Aluko is starting to look ineffective because he is running himself into the ground trying to plug gaps. Tommy Wright looked very poor again. He is a very very diluted Lee Miller at best.
  19. I thought the players got quite a good reaction and they clapped the fans too. Everyone was too busy giving McCurry shit.
  20. Does he really believe that we will hate our own players more than we hate him ? I feel more affection for the dog shit on my shoe.
  21. It was a section in Chick Young's 'World of Football' programme which is part of Sportsound on BBC Radio Scotland (I think it was Thursday night). The programme started at 6:10 I think, the RU guy was on around 6:30-7pm
  22. I never started
  23. Can't quite remember his second name. Could have been
  24. Fair enough but in order to scope whether that is going to happen (as this debate is trying to do) what benchmark do you use ?
  25. Fair enough mate I have argued that we should trust the management to decide when these guys are ready for the first team so I'd be a hypocrit if I then suggested they are not to be believed when they tell us how great they are. Still more inclined to take real evidence like call ups and league success but I'll accept your invitation onto the middle ground for now
