  1. k9 definitely stated in his original post that Maguire started fight and was knocked out. Don't know why he edited mind?? And where the fuck are you getting that from? I can only assume your drunk! You have the team you deserve
  2. I can only assume there has been some editing of the quotes from the hat. Three posts and not one JMG??
  3. I wondered how you lynched someone to death! Surely "lynched and beaten to death" or "stoned to death by a lynch mob" or...
  4. Sorry Dave, hand washing from above is not an acceptable defence. Either way, the buck still stops with Jimmy as far as I am concerned. If I worked directly with 20 folk on a day to day basis and half of them managed to, or even thought it was acceptable, to go behind my back to do something I deemed unacceptable I would be thoroughly embarrassed and ashamed. I would also expect to hauled up by my bosses along with those responsible. Likewise, if I had said "On you go lads, just don't do anything stupid!" Hindsight is wonderful thing, and denial (lets face it even if he did allow them to go out he's not likely to admit it now) should not be an acceptable "get out jail card" for Jimmy. Maximum club fines all round, as far as I am concerned, along with extra community work over the summer.
  5. Stinks of un-professionalism from above, also. If they did tell Jimmy and he sanctioned it... If they didn't tell him and Jimmy didn't know that 6 or 7 employees out of the 20 or so, for whom he is directly responsible, went out so close to an extremely important game for the club and did this...
  6. Totally unprofessional from the top down.
  7. Could they nae just put the Tims on Setanta Ireland, It'll be on there as well anyway, why waste two channels worth of bandwidth showing the same game?
  8. As I understood it, £23 million of funding has already been sourced.
  9. I wonder what the odds are on Bougherra's card getting rescinded and Mulgrew's not?
  10. And why wouldn't we need competitive games if we were tuning up for the SPL? Or are our notoriously bad starts acceptable if it means you get to go visit your friends and family in Holland on company time? Just think if we had some competitive matches last pre-season instead or arseing about horsing Dutch pub teams 10 - 0 fielding youth team players we might have picked up some points against, Caley, Hamilton, Scumdee Utd and Hibs at home. Also St Mirren and Motherwell away, in the first couple of months of the season. THEN we might have had 3rd sewn up and this story would never have needed to be written.
  11. Anyone else notice during half time there was a Setanta advert for next season? They obviously don't think we'll make the Europa league.
  12. yessssssss Paton
  13. Fucking disgusting behaviour from Lafferty, I hope someone actually fucking injures him now, triple leg break.
  14. I was there in the family stand with mates and their dads we joined in with some songs that would be frowned upon nowadays aimed towards Paul Elliott, and got told off from our dads!I was 10. Remember Gillhaus' side netting shot vividly.
  15. I fancied Scunny, but Grant MCCann taking penalties in a playoff semi? Wonder if the one he hit the roof with for us(Cheltenham) against Wycombe will play on is mind
  16. Discovered this stuff last week, can't stop drinking it. Nectar.
  17. I think what is happening here is what is happening all over the country. Players are holding on at clubs because they know a large amount of players are being released, and they are hoping that their current club misses out in the expected transfer scramble. Then they might avoid having to drop through the divisions and take a large pay cut. Virtually every "released" player I've read about over the last week or so has said similar things. I wonder if Jimmy will do a Martin Allen and forgo a holiday in order to steal a march on his rivals for potential transfer targets?? Thought not !
  18. All these folk subsidising Chelsea and not renewing AFC season tickets! Have I stumbled upon a Hun Forum?
  19. Do you pay VAT on foodstuffs?
  20. I hear "Big Gus" might be available around October/November time . I still have a feeling Jimmy is on his way to Norwich in the summer. Not sure who I'd want to replace him, although I am in agreement that McGhee isn't the answer. Too like for like.
  21. Due a win at Ibr(oll)ox, make it a large one!
  22. After the happiness a pre-season trip to Weston with Cheltenham generated tonight, Aberden have gone and soured it, as fucking usual. Ah well, rest of a bottle of Wolfblass to make me feel better.
  23. Think so, I just assumed like the rest of the Notts County squad he'd be at least 40 at his next birthday.
  24. I don't know? Luke Rodgers - a lot of unfulfilled early promise Ryan Lowe - 16 goals in a relegated team Paul Ifil - Decent right mid John Oster - Worth a look David Sousa - Likewise Alton Thelwell - Not sure why Orient are releasing him There's not a lot in there worthy of interest I suppose.
  25. Shamelessly nicked from Cheltenham's forum, (I'm even too lazy to type it out again so cutting and pasting). Because of the financial difficulties the club has had, and the resulting loss of the scouting network, MA has asked fans to email suggestions of potential signings, so there a few similar posts.
