  1. ^^THIS^^ Think McInnes tried to exploit the obvious aerial weakness from last week. Unfortunately that weakness had been worked on and didn't seam a particular weakness last night. We should have started as we finished last week. with Arnason and Reynolds at the back and O'Connor sitting in the holding roll. Let them attack us and exploit the gaps with pace. Instead we seemed to be playing an attacking game based on high balls, against a team we were 2-1 up on. They sat in and hit on the break. Fitness levels also seemed an issue in the humidity. When they broke they did so at full pelt, too often we seemed to track back at 80% only pegging it when we saw their player overtake. Cannot believe we lost to a team whose coach was wearing jeans on the touchline. A shite state of affairs.
  2. Wasn't oppressively hot last night but was really humid. Window wipers on when we got in the car, feel it on your skin humid. Supposed to have been 85% at times this summer.
  3. 2-1 at home is not a great result in Europe. Or rather it's a decent result if you are the losing team going into a home leg. They could try to play on the break and nick a goal but can't see us not scoring over there. Will be hot though 35-40 in the day at he minute and humid.
  4. What greets you as you cross the green line at the Metahan Gate into Lefkosia. Fuck the genocidal blue and white shite.
  5. YAS!! I land in Cyprus on the 2nd... Assume 2nd leg is the 3rd?
  6. I have an international subscription and can't fucking get it
  7. Was there not talk of McInnes being after him before he went to the Tims? Or being suggested we were away to offer him a pre-contract? Regardless, hopefully he does well and can resurrect his career here. He's a dandy too isn't he? If so that's half the battle there. Although it never did Mackie any good.
  8. Grew up a city supporter so knows what's it's like to have clubs around about coming the cunt. I reckon he has a fair affinity with us. Top Red/Sky Blue.
  9. He offers something different to Stockley and is "better" (if he still has "it"). Some might suggest he is better than Rooney too. Offers more all round play and at one stage had the ability to equal Rooney's scoring. Whether he still has that.. Fuck Knows. At one point he was thee next big thing out of Crewe's youth production line. Everybody thought with the move to City he'd make it. He has one last chance.
  10. This should all have been dealt with years ago. It is not whether former employee's should have been paying tax on their EBT loans. From a footballing perspective these were side letters to contracts and as such these employee's (in the case of players) did not have their full contracts lodged with the governing body. Ergo; incorrectly registered = ineligible to play = results void.
  11. Needs to grow his dreads back. He looked ridiculous but he's not been as good since he cut them off. Storey's replacement, I hope, and not signed to be our main striker.
  12. Nicky Maynard Was decent a few years ago.
  13. Last time he played in L1 he got relegated with Tranmere, did he not? Northampton will likely get relegated this season. Still it's better than; That kind of shite suggests he wasn't offered a new deal here...
  14. How d'ya like them apples? Ryan Jack and the rest of your Hun cunt mates?
  15. Frosted tips must be due a come back...
  16. Seen him at a thing pre-cup final, along with King Joey, Stuart Kennedy and Dougie Bell. Was in great form. May have just been a professional speaker thing but of all of them I thought you could almost feel his love for the Dons, like a big kid. GWS well soon, Tattie.
  17. Drugs in sport should be legal. It's the next step in human evolution. I want to see someone going under 8 seconds for the 100m, or something mental like a sub 1:45 marathon. Fuck the Paralympics I want to see the Superolympics.
  18. At least the puke Northsound top was navy blue. Royal blue kits are for cunts.
  19. Aitken would have been there 96 as remember his daughter getting a mate to ask me out around that time. Didnt know who she was so said "who" to be told "Roy Aitkens daughter" followed by an immediate "no" from me. Don't think I even set eyes on her. Don't think Whyte joined untill after I moved to englandshire. First I seen of him would have been the snowball game against the tims.
  20. Aye I rode to it on a unicorn I stole from this ginger lad with bad teeth. A quick google and, he's getting confused with preseason in '96 when we played in the south. Shelboutne and Dundalk. Miller always was a Tim Fuckwit. I suppose Dundalk is halfway between Dublin and Belfast but Shelbourne is in a whole different city. I doubt either club would be happy to be confused with Linfield either.
  21. I imagine there may have been a bit of, agents thinking £1.2 million from Hayes and a new Director worth £xxx million, I can ask for another £1k p/w for my client. Agents are fucking chancers.
  22. You're proabably right Manc but it's all I can see.
  23. It appears that Victoria Utd played in a blue kit but AFC have never played in a blue home shirt. http://www.historicalkits.co.uk/Scottish_Football_League/Aberdeen/Aberdeen.htm
