  1. Money down the drain.
  2. Just in time for him to make a full recovery. Probably.

    Celeb Deaths

True, but the big question on everyone's lips is can she make it at this level? This is make or break season for the kid.

    Celeb Deaths

The tabloid press certainly seem to think she's on the verge of Celeb' death super-stardom, but can someone so young be expected to deliver on the big stage when it really matters?
  5. OK, Levein is maybe on a par with Jimmy but his sides have still won the same as us - fuck all. His record against us is impressive but we have consistently finished above Utd in the league during Calderwoods time here. I couldn't agree that he's doing a "far better job".

Proper snow in Aberdeenshire today, kid's school is closed, they're dusting the sledges down as I type this.
  7. I still haven't heard any JMG'ers come up with a name for this "better" manager. And as for the other 8 in the spl, there's not one of them I'd choose over Jimmy Calderwood.
  8. And regardless of tactics, if we'd taken our chances on Saturday we would have won the game despite being very poor over all. Keep the faith lads.

Heaps of the stuff out the west side of town. Very wet though, chaos as usual on the roads this morning as all the lazy fecking tarts drove thier kids 200 yards to school in their lexus and Q7's and still managed to get stuck.
  10. Jimmy must go. Mackie must go. Foster must go. Clangers must go. Young, Mair and Duff must go. Willie Miller must go. Stewart Milne must go. Pittodrie must go. Fuck it, AFC must go, then I can go and support a proper club that win every week. Like Manchester United. I think some people (again not aimed at you particularly BB) need to have a wee think about why they support Aberdeen at all. One bad result, regardless of who's "fault" it was, will not break our season. We get on with it, look forward to the next game, and hope for a better result against Hearts.
  11. It's obvious to me that the scenes of jubilation when we beat Celtic were conjoured up by a team very much punching above it's weight. That's what makes these results so special, it doesn't hapen all the time, and the fans know that these are rare and magical moments. The reality, however frustrating it may be, is that no club outside the OF have a squad capable of guaranteeing victory week-in, week-out. Calderwood has done great things season after season, giving us some extraordinary highs (and a few devastating lows) along the way. We've called it a roller coaster on here before, the big afc dipper being driven by a man who only half the kids trust not to crash. Up's and down's chaps - just hold on and enjoy the ride.

    GBMG must go.

I'd be fecking delighted if we got some proper snow, like we used to when i was a lad. Got to agree with sweetchuck, arctic conditions my arse.
  14. Fuck me stoney, are you serious? What matters is where we are in May, not where we were for a nano-second two games into the season.
  15. I've got to say I'm gutted we lost on Saturday, but any tinkering with tactics and formation was simply Jimmy trying what he thought would give us our best chance of three points. It appears on this occasion his game plan didn't work, however given his record (over-all and recent) I'm still happy to trust him to get it right in the coming weeks and months. We all make mistakes. JIG is God, so is stoney.
  16. Crumbs, here we go again.
  17. There is a certain ammount of responsibility that comes with being captain, on and off the park. Diamond is not ready for that burden due to his lack of maturity, on and off the park. It's a job for a more level headed individual, and to be honest I'm struggling to think of another player in our squad who would be good captain material. Maybe by the start of next season Mark Kerr will be the obvious choice if Severin leaves.
  18. I think Kirk and Birdseye are also worthy of a mention.
  19. Jimmy refusing to give a promising youngster a regular game, with this lad we could have finished 2nd, could have got 6 points instead of 4 against the old firm, and we might have beaten East Fife next week. JMG
  20. We got 1 million pounds of compensation for Anderson which maybe softened the blow, but you're right - his commitment was unquestionable. I just think Severin's all round ability will be harder to replace.
  21. I agree with ST, we'll fucking miss him once he's gone. Without a doubt the most important, influential player we have had in the last 5 years, and loosing him is a bigger blow than loosing Russell Anderson. I can understand why he feels he needs a fresh challenge, but I can't understand why any Afc fan would bad mouth the best footballer we've had at the club for years. *edit* agree with el padre not ST, what was i thinking?
  22. Every season we get this "Worst hun team in living memory" pish. Walter Smith is probably the best in the business at getting nil-nil draws when he needs them. He's proved that time and time again. We were victims of that tactic on Saturday, but much better teams than ours have struggled to beat the huns. I'm disappointed we didn't win on Saturday, but I'm satisfied that taking 4 points from 2 games against the Glasgow clubs is a good return.
  23. We could have got fuck all. Four points gained, without question a great return from two games against the old firm. A mans greatest tool is himself. And stoney, you're a fucking tool.
