  1. I thought this was a bit harsh when I first read it this morning, thinking it was just BB's opinion of the game. But now I've read McGhee's quotes about following Rangers example, and realising we did actually go to Fir Park looking for a point, well....I'm astonished at Mcghee's stupidity. What an outrageous admission, one which undermines the belief of dons fans everywhere, and in particular our wonderfull traveling support. Are we going to play for penalties against Raith? Mark McGhee went down in my estimation today.

What's the chances of McGhee holding his hands up and admitting he made a mistake, and asking the huns if we can reverse the swap? Let's be honest, they don't really need Foster, and we certainly don't need another injury prone attacking player. We need a pacey full back.
  3. Nice to see you back pal.
  4. Anyway, we're third in the table which is better than I expected after 4 games. We can open up a gap by beating Motherwell next weekend. Killie and United have difficult games against the OF, and Hearts are away at ICT. Still much to be optomistic about. Chins up fellas.
  5. Stoney, do you agree with this sentance?
  6. Agree with all that. Penalty decision was a shocker and Vernon's goal was a cracker.
  7. I've been told the youth set up is brutal in terms of letting a kid go as soon as they uncover a more promising player, one in = weakest one out. Obviously there will be occasions when players are released and then eventually make the grade elsewhere, because they're late developers or whatever, but I'm sure most clubs get it right most of the time.
  8. Whatever happened to young Andrew?
  9. Just watched the last instalment of Secret Britain on BBC HD, West Coast looked absolutely stunning. It's been a really good series but I don't think they could possibly do the country justice in just 4 episodes. I demand more of this. Good work BBC fellas.

All the best MBT, hope you get a good day for it. Third time lucky?
  11. Using phrases like... and are certainly not out of context because these are words the Daily Record churn out every time they write about Aberdeen fans. Naughty Aberden fans, they'll be gobbing on their manager next.
  12. The trouble with a fee and a permanent transfer is MM would have seen none of the money. Trying to be positive about all this, at least this way we got a striker with a decent pedigree, Foster remains property of Afc (which could be good financially if he impresses with those wanks) and worst case scenario I can see is we have to welcome a tarnished Ricky Foster back next season, hopefully an improved player with a winning habit. Wheeling and dealing with those minks makes me feel very uneasy though.
  13. Stoney I'm not trying to take the piss here, because there is every chance I've not understood this properly. But unless Rangers are paying both player's wages, how are we better off financially?
  14. Looks fake to me mizer, just some nobber pretending to be pissed.
  15. Loosing against Jimmy's dross, a team having a transitional season after a change of manager, is very disappointing. However we dominated for long spells and there's still plenty to be optomistic about. Pick ourselves up for Utd and Motherwell, then the huns game will take care of itself.
  16. lol Seriously though, I think loosing Foster would be like the Chris Clarke situation all over again - you don't know what you've got 'til it's gone etc etc. Unless they offer a really good fee like we got for Lee Miller. I'm starting to trust MM a bit more with the responsibility of signing players, and if he was allowed to use some of the Foster fee to bulk up the squad a bit it might turn out to be good business.
  17. Poor kid, gutted for him and the club. And as a member of the 'donstalk cruciate club' (DCC club) I know only too well what he's about to go through. The actual surgical procedure may now be different compared to the way they did it back in my day, but the tortuous months of rehabilitation will no doubt be the same. Let's hope he makes a 100% recovery.
  18. Scan tomorrow according to Northsound.
  19. Ta. Now I'm not suggesting he's a big girl's blouse, but if this injury is anything like that one, he's a big girl's blouse. Man up. And get well soon.
  20. I've not heard any update yet about Fyvie's injury, and I'm hoping it's not as serious as it looked. But can anyone else remember a game last season when he left the pitch on a stretcher with a serious looking injury which ended up not being as bad as first thought? I cant remember who that was against.
  21. I agree with ally to a certain extent, we were a poorer team when Miller left. I wouldn't be too concerned if he ended up with the huns though.
  22. CtS likes this.
  23. Respect to Motherwell, Shagger Broon's got them playing good organised football. Between them and United as favourites for third in the SPL?
  24. Great signing for them in my opinion, and yes, he will almost certainly have the last laugh against us next weekend.
