Only brown was on the pitch unless I missed something and I have no issue with the job he done. I've stated previously that some of our best football in years was under glass where we dominated games. However unfortunately for him we couldn't keep weans out of a close and the club chose not to see the experiment through. A lot of players downed tools that season as soon as they had an excuse. The second part of your question? Back to you. If shinnie was any sort of leader how did we go 3 months without a win. Or the big streak that got Robson sacked or the run that got glass sacked? My point is that in my view ( and it's my view ) is that there's a track record there if consistently downing tools when adversity came. Let's see how the next few weeks work out. Saturday night have been a fluke.

Because shinnie can't motivate the team in my view . He's not used to winning and accepted mediocrity through the last few managers tenures. We need a new mindset for me and whilst nilsen may not always be Pele, he's always up for the fight which is exactly what we showed last weekend for the first time in a long while.

I'm all for sivert being skipper. He sets a standard for work rate and fight and will bollock those not up to expectations. With shinnie on the pitch he takes a back seat. I mean why the hell did he swap the arm band with shinnie for ten minutes.? Shinnie is a grafter but he's not a leader and the last couple of years have proven that. As he ages the physicality is taking a toll as he's not the biggest and can be swept aside in some games. I'll admit that Nilsen has had some sticky games but he looks to be back to himself and he's the man for me to get the boss' message across and the man who controls the tempo. Either shinnie has to move on or accept a lesser role in the squad. I'm not sure the latter would make for a good dynamic. I'd prefer to see Polvara get time as the third midfielder. That said Nilsen probably needs replaced season after next as he slows down.

Was it a good watch though?

I thought the plot was pretty poor in G2. Recently watched the substance. Wow, it was tarantino/70's horror/ naked demi ( a lot of ) / the creature from the black lagoon / zombie B movie Bizarre but one to see for sure. Otherwise I've watched Kneecap. It's really funny and don't worry about the politics it takes piss out of both sides. A bit like a modern commitments crossed with trainspotting humour. It's on Amazon.

Battle of a first half. Great to see Nilsen looking on form again and setting standards giving instructions and bollockings. I'd like to see pape driving and having a go. Plays the wide ball every time when he has options that might be better. Knoester looks solid today and might be the physicality needed at the back.

After last week's defeat there were quite a few people on FB calling for him to come back and drop shinnie and Nilsen. I pointed out there that fyvie is still easily coves best player and we wouldn't want him in our first team now.

City 21s suggest there's definitely talent there.

Watched the young boy smith playing at QOS yesterday and he was electric for the whole game. Might have been having a great game but he looked levels above div 1. Can play both wings and ten Now before we slate D1 remember last week people were wanting Marshall back from cove. This boy is a mile above anyone we have on loan in that league.

Good win. Thought the starting eleven done well as did Morris when he came in. We looked weaker with shinnie and Clarkson towards the end ( though Dunfermline maybe had to have a go by then ). Thought palaversa was great in the first half and Nilsen looked to be in charge. As a result the team seemed organised and there was no sense of panic. Despite a hideous miss, nesbit came alive in the box for the third. Not rocket science, if you put the ball in the danger zone, he'll get there. Great to have pape back too. Let's hope it's the start of a recovery.

Working the ball wide well but delivery not great. Keskinen is rotten.
-
Having watched cove this season I don't think either is ready to add to the premier League. Fyvie is still their best player and we don't need him back.

The football equivalent of erectile disfunction.

Is this a direct response to Ambrose

Why can shinnie not pass a ball that isn't three feet behind the runner
-
We look totally sterile. Moving the ball but gaining nothing. Two passes forward then a twenty yard pass back.
-
I'm not that bothered if he goes, tidy feet but lacks influence on games for me.
-
Yes he'll put the boot in and argue with the ref but he's not a leader on the field. He can't make the team go up a gear when needed. He has the acceptance of going through the motions engrained over the past few seasons and for me a new broom is needed. Didn't mean he's our worst player by any stretch but the psyche of the team has to be altered and he's fundamentally part of the habit.

Ib think Jimmy has to remove shinnie if he wants to change the attitude. He's been there as skipper under too many failures. He sets the tone.
-
So much to dissect We're a disgrace. Could've been six. Doohan first class and only bright spot. Should be number one for me. This 12 game run is totally unacceptable. Our passing is a disaster Shinnie is done Control seems to be a team issue. Nobody can trap a fucking ball. I don't care where we are sitting, another three games like this and jimmy has to come under serious pressure. Who'd have thought that before the semi pumping.
-
Why isn't Polvara replacing shinnie. He might actually be able to turn and pass to a red shirt from deep
-
Watching us try to play out. Jesus fuck. So frustrating
-
Why is Clarkson cutting back there? Look more scared to lose the ball than they are interested in winning the game.
