  1. David Rowson! He was quite handy for us around 1999/2000. Mind you, he was a shining light in an otherwise horrific team - ie he was bang-average
  2. Sad news about Ozzy, although I'm surprised he lasted this long. The King of Heavy Metal! Not sad about Hulk Hogan. He's the reason I never liked WWF when I was a kid - I grew to enjoy WWF/WWE later once he had mostly gone from it. And the political putrid from him more recently simply backs up my dislike for the man. So yeah, Rest In Peace Ozzy!
  3. I take it all bets are off for Pressley being thr first Scottish Premier manager to get the boot? Just having a wee gander at TheDarkBlues forum, the "Sack Pressley Now!" thread was started 5 days ago and is already 15 pages long
  4. Im still scratching my head at the massive popularity of Wrexham. Yeah theyre owned by Rob Mac and Ryan Reynolds, the latter not exactly the finest of humans, but its not as if either of them will be on the field like a Messi or a David Goldenballs type spectacle. Yet a team like the Nix who normally command around 8,000 fans per home game suddenly attract 25,000 punters for a friendly. Has anyone told these folks that its Wrexham???
  5. https://www.twtd.co.uk/ipswich-town-news/49912/hirst-i-thought-we-played-really-well-but-aberdeen-gave-us-a-massive-challenge Haven't seen the game yet, am just catching up on the various reports and social commentary. Interview with Hirst, the Ipswich striker. He says the Dons were good until Ipswich figured out our system. A bitnof a worry going into Europa League that its only taken a half-decent team 20-odd minutes to figure us out and adapt. Thoughts from those who saw the game? Are we heavily reliant on one system?
  6. Sportsboom website claiming that Mansfield Town and Stockport County have joined the battle to sign Shaydy Mo. Doesn't say if any bids have been made by these two, but the site believes Luton Town are preparing a bid of around £800k
  7. Thelins system eventually fucked our squad last season due to the workrate required. Add in Euro games this season, and i think theres a place for two senior LBs and one senior LB sub. You could argue that Barry Robson built a squad to battle on multiple fronts ... but his problem was he kept using the same players in most games
  8. Im glad the club has knocked back Lutons bids. Hes the quickest guy we have, is a consistent super-sub, and has the attitude we could do with replicating. Id hold out for mininum £1M
  9. Just read the report, and surprised Niall McGinn wasn't playing for Peterhead after signing for them.
  10. Cosgrove was an odd one. He scored a fair amount of goals, but his first (abd second and third) touch was awful. For some reason the rub of the green seemed to favour him as often as it goes against someone like Laurent D'Jaffo: both equally average players. Cosgrove had the build, stature and touch of a Sunday League centreback / sweeper - but so much seemed to fall in his favour
  11. Dunno why, but I read that and immediately thought of Craig Hignett. But then read on and realised we've also had the likes of Madison, Christie McGinn and Miovski more recently
  12. Interesting article on the Beeb website highlighting which Scottish players are currently available for free. A few could be good additions for us if we are willing to meet their wage demands. Upfront theres Steve Fletcher, Jordan Rhodes and Chris Martin have been released by Wrexham, Blackpool and Bristol Rovers respectively. In midfield, Tom Cairney has bee released by Fulham, whilst Stuart Armstrong and Barry Bannan are leaving Sheffield Wednesday. Jamie Lindsay has been released by Bristol Rovers and, whilst a return to Scotland is highly unlikely, Liam Henderson has been released by Empoli after they were relegated from Serie A. If we are looking to up our Scottish contingent to remain above-board compliance-wise, would any of these fit ?
  13. He's quick from the couple of times ive seen him Morris probably just shades him in an all-out sprint, but I'd say he is one of our top 2 in the quick-category
  14. McInnes simply added "half time pies" into his contract, and he was in
  15. What site did you use? I too like it, but not enough to fork out £70
  16. I thought you missed the "M" after £20. Then I realised you're talking about Ambrose. As you were
  17. Yeah a good gig for him. I'll never wish him anything but good luck, he just had faaar too big a job to do at Aberdeen
  18. They all look really chuffed to be in this photo
  19. I would like to think Bojans loyalty to us would see him NOT go to the Tattiedome. But if he wants to rekindle his currently-floundering career and the Tims are the only interested party, he may well take that chance
  20. Cantona thinks otherwise
  21. U19 Championships, Spain 5-6 Germany. 11 goals, 3 in injury time, 5 in Extra Time. Now that's value for money!
  22. https://twitter.com/i/status/1936010882800091632 Hah!

    Serie A

So Bologna's reported valuation is £25M, and he's contracted til 2028. I wouldn't be surprised if Napoli bidded £30M for him. If that we're true and successful, we could be be up for £4.5M. Tasty!

    Serie A

What's our sell-on clause if he does move? Was it 20% or something like that?
