  1. Well that was the worst 'protest' I have ever had the misfortune to witness. Me and my mate went round after the game just to check it out and there was, I would say a maximum of 30 folk milling aboot. After standing quietly for half an hour, they finally managed a 20 second round of 'Jimmy, there's your cab. Jimmy Jimmy etc'. Silence again and slowly but surely everybody got bored and left. Not before about 10 people (at the very maximum) got a photo holding their little A4 paper posters and little cards. Stood there for 45 minutes to witness that! Should have known better! What a total and utter embarrasment.
  2. Early investigations seem to suggest that the gearbox failed. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/scotland/7994305.stm
  3. We wanted 7. WE DESERVE BETTER.
  4. Are they both in his one back pocket? I imagine it would be quite a tight squeeze if so.
  5. 4-0 Barca! Fairly motoring through to the next round! Caldwell heads in for the Tims. 1-0
  6. Huns making lightwork of mini Huns so far. Boyd and Edu scoring with Boyd also missing a sitter apparently. Still 0-0 with Tims and Falkirk.
  7. Yes any stroke is serious but doesn't sound like a life threatening (judging from the reporting ) one so hopefully will make a speedy recovery!
  8. Whilst understanding the reasons behind this protest, yet also thinking that the timing is horribly wrong, it is very badly organised, badly portrayed to the media and reflects very badly on the rest of the Dons fans when quotes like this come out - If Aberdeen win on Saturday, and this protest begins, I will walk past with my head down, carrying with me a little bit of shame to be tarred with the same brush as these protesters.
  9. Ah, here comes the tired old real fan argument! I don't think the term 'fan' can really be based on the number of matches they can go too. So these 'fake' fans, is it all they do is sit at home or in the pub? No other factors in why they can't get to as many games as you, your majesty?
  10. He's only on trial and there is no guarantees that he will even sign! No harm in having a look at the fella is there?
  11. European football is a must if Calderwood is going to stay. European football is a must, however I am sitting on the fence with Calderwood and waiting till the end of the season.

  13. As soon as I wake up Every night, every day I know that it's you I need To take the blues away It must be love, love, love It must be love, love, love Nothing more, nothing less Love is the best
  14. 18. All credit to Gordie, Walter, Gus, Mixu, Jim, Big John etc.
  15. 4. Seemingly unable to motivate players for certain games.
  16. While it is not impossible for us to finish third, I feel it's Hearts to lose. 4th/5th.
  17. Duff played well when starting against Smeltic this season. However, I'n pretty sure that it will be Considine at the back with Seve in the midfield as he is our club captain and is seemingly is undroppable.
  18. Agree with the comments regarding our inability to score or create any chances at all. Was good to McDonald back, continually making runs up to help the front two but ran out of steam a bit at the end. Did absolutely nothing of note up front on Saturday and seemed to run out of ideas as soon as we reached the 18 yard box. Thought Foster didn't play that bad and was continually up and down the right wing, which Mulgrew didn't do. How bad is Mulgrew's corners?! Either doesn't beat the front man or is far too high and deep! Diamond had a shocker of a first half but improved in the second and Severin's lack of pace is frightening. Considine looked pretty solid. Wright didn't do much constructive and as Ajja said, he looks very much like a poor mans Lee Miller. Kerr had a good game before being sent off, which by the letter of the law, is a sending off. Aluko and Smith were full of running but just devoid of any ideas and more often that not, ended up passing it cross-field or back. Hibs could have scored 2 or 3 if they could have finished.
  19. Of course he would have a better squad of players but as I said earlier, that if the time has come for the Board to take action (which I don't think they will), I would hope that they would look at someone who isn't currently at the helm of a team, even if that team is playing the best football that will ever be seen, that is languishing at the bottom of the table.
  20. Well this is all hypothetical isn't it? Judging from Falkirk, I think I'll stick with JC over JH.
  21. Perhaps the most disappointing thing about it is that there was an inevitability over the result tonight.
