Maguire should be made to look at his performances when he has come on. The fact that he's not had a full 90 minutes is nobodys fault but his own. At this point in his career he would be lucky to be a regular starter for a first division team. If I have to watch him chase his first touch halfway across the pitch one more time I'm going to explode. In the same token, I'm not sure how flapping your arms around like a tourettes sufferer helps you play football. The kid can put in a reasonable cross but getting into the position to cross is usually down to pure luck than anything else. Get him loaned out to Peterhead or somewhere like that where he can learn to graft for a season and then see where he is ability-wise. He hasnt proven himself at the required level so he's got no right to demand a start.

That would be fine if he was being developed as a future AFC player, but he's a loan player so we have no responsibility towards his development as a player. We need someone in the middle of the park who can do a job and do it consistently, for me Walkers not going to be that man.

Walker seems to me to be well out of his depth. Maybe he was a performer for the Middlesborough reserves, but he just doesnt seem aware enough or sharp enough for this level. Calderwood has to bite the bullet and re-employ a scouting network for next season or we're going to backwards very very quickly.

I just want this month out of the way, its going to be a long hard slog. March is where we have to really get it together and push for the top 4 finish.

Since his wee run at the end of his first season he's done nothing at all to convince me he's worthy of playing for a top 6 club, the only player who is less effective over 90 minutes is Maguire, who should never be in a dons top again till he actually learns how to play football.

Theres plenty of lazy non-scoring strikers out there, not a huge problem.

Lovell and Maguire are both completely and utterly pish. Maguire would struggle at Junior level.
