  1. And thats because of the image Aberdeen has. Cold, wet and generally depressing. The Granite City isnt a tag that incites anything more than a negative image. Aberdeen needs to be re-vitalised.
  2. "I hope he enjoys playing in Aberdeen on a cold rainy night" is a typical quote aimed at players moving to the SPL from England. Why do they always choose aberdeen as the cold rainy place? I dont mind Aberdeen. I love the team, dont mind the city, but find the attitude towards outsiders borderline medieval. Its got very little to offer a twenty something footballer asides from neddy pubs and clubs. Trumps golf course could change that though, Aberdeen needs investment to make it more attractive.
  3. Of course it is but I also think its true. Most people from the central belt see Aberdeen as the Siberia of Scotland. Its grim, its cold, theres not much to do and the people are pretty hostile to anything or anyone south of Cove as well. Why trade that in for whats available already in the central belt? Thats why players Like Lee Miller and Steve Crawford do the rounds elsewhere before they finally bite the bullet and make the move north.
  4. Because most footballers in Scotland want to be based in the central belt or as close to that as they can get. Aberdeen is a pretty unattractive place to move to in that respect.
  5. Every time he pulls on a Rangers top he feels 6 inches bigger
  6. Is that Doric or West Country? Incidentally you dont actually speak Doric or have the slightest hint of aberdeen accent in person.
  7. Was he not saying he cant play alongside Seve because he and Seve are the same kind of player?
  8. I think Hibs would be the only club that would take him, and I think he would probably fit in well there.
  9. We all need one of these... http://www.mytherapybuddy.com/index.shtml
  10. Well next season will be about getting our heads down and focusing on our domestic competitions rather than luxury competitions like the UEFA cup so its all good!
  11. I'll never forget this season. Dnipro was the most amazing away experience I've ever had from the piss up at 4 in the am to the bizzare prop plane that scared the living daylights out of me to the crazy hotel rooms with brown water and the amazing strip clubs, bus crashes and driving down stairs and finally celebrating Mackies goal. Munich was beautiful and we were the guests of one of the worlds best teams in one of the worlds most amazing stadiums, we've had three cup runs, made the top 6 again and probably had more highs and lows in one season that we've had in all the previous seasons since the two Jimmys took over. Lets just get this season finished and look ahead to next season when hopefully all wounds will be healed and we can push for Europe in 09/10. No negative replys in this thread please ya chunts.
  12. Byrne, Duff and Bus shouldnt even be offered the chance to discuss contracts. These kind of players are the reason we have started to backslide.
  13. He does add a lot of composure upfront in comparison to the headless chicken styles of every other striker at the club. If it was a realistic aim he should be given a reduced weekly wage and a goal bonus to make it up to what he actually wants. Incentive to up his performance.
  14. AFC Player of the season: Zander Diamond AFC Goal of the season: Mackies goal in Dnipro Bounce of the season: Dnipro Game of the season: Copenhagen at Pittodrie AFC Cunt Award (who at the club is the biggest cunt?): Scott Severin And in other catagories SPL Cunt of the season: Barry "I shall not be booked even for assaulting players" Ferguson SPL Shitest player of the season: Stuart Duff Best grub award: I hate to say it but I love the Tynecastle hotdogs! Best away boozer: Its between any munich Bierhall and Labrynth in Dnipro Edited because I forgot about Dnipro!
  15. I think we'll manage a draw against Motherwell if we try hard. We'll lose the rest by bucketloads. I reckon we'll beat everyone asides from Celtic and Motherwell
  16. You're already counted with the GUASC allocation Stu old boy!
  17. Any save is a good save for an outfield player who suddenly finds himself in goals. Robbie showed a lot of guts to do what he did that day as does any player in that situation, they deserve a cheer for every save they make.
  18. Not in with the rest of the GUASC? Its gonna take you a while to get there:
  19. Can they go into Administration before the season ends? It might be to their advantage surely?
