Agree with this, good finishes from both Vidal and Wright in the first half. Thought Vidal had a very good game, Miller played well also. Tommy Wright fair got stuck in but didn't really get into the game much. A few good crosses toward the end of the game that a partnership of Wright/Miller should make the most of.
Aluko was MOTM for me, two assists and a goal. He really ripped the East Fife right-back to shreds, although the amount of space they were giving him was ridiculous. Seemed to fade in the second half though.
It was good to see the team continue pushing forward for goals even though the game was dead after 20 minutes. A few really good passing moves, crisp and direct, which is what you want to see especially when you have a man advantage.
Foster was awful going forward, always slowed down play and seemed clueless as to what to do when he had the ball. In his defence, he was constantly tracking back and made a few good interventions.
Maguire did very well to get through on goal for both his 1-on-1s, although how he managed to sky the first one was beyond me. Tried to smash it past the keeper when he should have side-footed it, which was what he did for the second. Good strength and finish for that one though.
His performance reminded me of Diego Forlan at Man United. He was putting everything into his shots/headers when sometimes you just need a little composure. He seemed to be trying too hard to impress. The fans getting on his back was needless, you could see the relief when he did manage to get his goal though.
He also had a great chance with a header but instead of glancing the cross toward goal he got too much on it.
From where I was sitting it looked like it had just crossed the line, the keeper tried to pull it back but the momentum of him falling back into the net took it in.
