  1. That other message board is a joke. Its gone beyond simply folk being anti-JC, threads this week included - Calderwood is Fat Chants and Songs ( to let AFC know how we feel) Team of Small Weaklings Walk Away We all were fucked off after Tuesday - if there had been a bottle of whisky anywhere in my house I reckon it would not have seen Wednesday morning. But this isn't any kind of way to support to a team. Although some of their points are valid - they are a miserable miserable lot ! log into the live chat this afternoon for evidence... A great afternoons fishing to be had..
  2. Zander surely makes up for all the toothless folk. The third article is also good - Bayern by all accounts are in a bit of a mess.
  3. Actually McNamara - Foster When did that spew forth from the numbers machine??
  4. The legendary Tombola gains copy this week in the Herald. Article sadly acknowledging our defensive disasters this year. Bold section highlights that we still have not got over Anderson leaving. Diamond Byrne or Diamond Considine for me. THERE ARE spies working for Celtic and Bayern Munich who must feel like lying down in a darkened room to let their headaches clear. Their managers, Gordon Strachan and Ottmar Hitzfeld, will have charged them with compiling dossiers on what to expect from Aberdeen's players and system. That is a cruel assignment to give any man. There is not a spy in the land who could go back to his boss and confidently predict who will be in their back four, nor even if it will be a back four at all. How could they, when even Aberdeen's manager has still to decide what works best? About the only thing that can be said with certainty about Aberdeen's defending is that there aren't many at Pittodrie who expect it to deny Celtic this afternoon nor Bayern Munich in the last 32 of the Uefa Cup on Thursday. Chopping, changing, switching, dropping and recalling from one week to the next: exasperated supporters accuse manager Jimmy Calderwood of picking his defence by taking their squad numbers out of a tombola. Aberdeen have had their fair share of injuries and defenders have not been immune, but they have not suffered casualties on a scale which can explain the endless tinkering with their back four. Calderwood has yet to let his strongest defence develop....... The most incredible statistic relates to how many different central defensive partnerships have been tried: 16. Diamond-Considine, Diamond-Severin, Diamond-Mair, Diamond-Hart, Diamond-McNamara, Diamond-Touzani, Diamond-Byrne, Considine-McNamara, Considine-Severin, Considine-Mair, McNamara-Foster, Severin-Bryne, Touzani-Byrne, Mair-Byrne and - when Calderwood has experimented with a back three - Diamond-Severin-Byrne or Mair-Severin-Byrne. At Parkhead in November they played a back three in the first half and a four in the second. And they lost 3-0. 5. Okay biggest game rather than defining would have put it better. After the players hang up their boots I would bet they will be telling the grandkids about playing against Bayern Munich rather than playing the arabs at Tynie ( esp. after that fucker of a scoreline). I do agree fully though that Tuesday was a bitter pill to swallow - and a massive chance blown for a final / trophy. most disorganised performance I have seen from the Dons for a long long time. There is no escaping the fact we have played rank rotten on a regular basis this season but somehow we are still there fighting. Here's hoping that we can do something good today - feeling positive about it for some reason, must be that defective optimism gene that all Dons fans get. Team today my guess though not choice 4-5-1 most probably and hold out for a draw .. Langfield McNamara, Diamond, Considine, Maybury Young, Nicolson, Severin, Walker,Foster Miller
  6. Got my Euro Millions ticket - currently daydreaming about handing Wiggy a cheque and seeing him meander off into the distance.
  7. Read somewhere that the commentator on Red TV said - am not sure what tactics or positions JC wil be using tonight and Jamie Smith added neither do we. In regards to Lovell - regardless of his ability, desire to play football - at present he is a waste of a wage. Unless his salary is justified for His main use at present as a scapegoat. The sooner we get things sorted out with Lovell and other players Miller / Nicholson the better.
  8. De Vries was a monster eh! looked even bigger than I remembered a right fat chunt.
  9. Nicholson sign a contract before making a speech. Then we may actually pay attention. This looks to me like someone raising their profile for a move
  10. Tried to think of this last night but was too depressed to concentrate. Wondering what everyone would do for Sunday and Thursday ?? Main point being that the SPL tie is vital for our season and league position, and simultaneously that some of the players have possibly THE defining game of their careers on Thursday. SPL A Dundee Utd win at home v Hibs and we lose they go 8 points clear of us. A Motherwell win at H Killie and again we lose they go 5 points clear of us. Caley winning away at St Mirren would see them leapfrog us . If Hearts beat Gretna then this places them 3 points behind us. Things really tighten up and the net result is we end up in 6th. 7th if Falkirk do the unimaginable and get a result at Ibrox. Draws all round would do me ! Away to Hibs and Killie before Motherwell visit midweek Feb. Bring on March where we have a chance of 9 'easier' points H ST Mirren H Gretna A ICT. Bayern I would love to say I would give 110% in every game but with the Bayern game awaiting - would you want to get injured? Its going to make Sunday tougher, 50/50s - players potentially holding back.. Time to gamble and say show me you're worth the start against Munich vs Celtic I reckon - its what the fans deserve after last night.. Team Selection - going to defer on that until later in the week cant be arsed looking up who is injured or ineligible..
  11. I haven't heard the comments - but if the man is terminally ill then I agree its a good thing to dedicate the final to him. As for the CIS cup final - due to the participants for me it becomes a complete non-entity - I will forget it ever exists as an event on the football calendar. I do not wish either of them luck - could not give a flying fuck what the score is. Feckin Diddy cup anyway
  12. Fucking embarassing disaster, Keeper went then defence followed, these players I think forgot a place in the final was up for grabs. Very painful. Langfield - Evidently concussed after missile barrage from army of tinkers at start of second half, said head injury led to a shocker. McNamara - Saved our bacon at the end of the 1st half - played better in the second. Could not find a pass to Young all night. Diamond - Was close to tears he was hurting so bad. Considine - Pressured all night with United pinging stuff into left back area. Due to Foster being in Floods pocket had no out ball. Foster - see above - In Floods pocket. Also would not drift out wide for the ball over the top to expolit his pace. Nicholson - Lost in midfield, had time to control and volley a chance but produced one of the weirdest looking headed efforts on goal I have seen. Severin - Had no idea to cope with De Vries, should have been shifted into midfield to help us get a grip of the game. Walker - thought he was out of his depth for times in this game tonight, but put in a good shift and actually looked like he was playing for the jersey. No one moving for him to link up with. Young - I forgot he was on the park, see McNamara re service. Miller - Got fucked off and axed someone went for early bath, think he forgot he had been booked already- if not stupidest tackle ever - dreamtime for the Arabs seeing him walk. Mackie - Did not look match fit and full of usual running - won some good headers though, for no one to follow up on. Aluko - showed signs of being able to destroy players but again no out ball. Bus - hard to tell based on his few touches, looks like he can pick a pass though. And the same thought ran through my mind about Clark - we missed him - how worrying is - I need to go for a lie down in a dark room..
  13. Read a rumour on suicidewatch/prozac.com chat that someones aunties neighbours dog who was out being walked by a friendly dog walkers uncles nephew who lives next door to the ticket office spotted Ryan Esson training with us this week. Giving that Soutar is apparently disgruntled Will we sign him?? anyone else seen anything about this..
  14. We owe Dundee United a good beating. Whatever crap they spout without Robson they are a poorer team, similar to Falkirk after Thomson left. Impact on and off the pitch to other players wont help them. Reckon Walker will ping in a Free Kick at some point.. and finally here's to seeing Zander reprise his role as the 'Luca Toni' at Pittodrie - go on JC stick him up front you know you want to..
  15. Definately due a result ! Tie of The Round - the hits just keep on coming.
  16. I am looking forward to going to the Bayern game - and I wont be attending it with the mindset of - Oh fuck this will be shit tonight we're going to get humped. If I went with that approach then it would lessen my enjoyment of the night. Yes Bayern are a machine like team with an array of talent - but there are 11 of them. Same number of players we have. They have no stability just now due to Hitzfeld being on the way out and their dressing room is a shambles. If anything they are as vulnerable as Copenhagen to an upset. That is why there is a glimmer of hope.
  17. YOU GUYYYYYYYYYYYSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS !!!!
  18. Good Question ! The SFA site is shocking http://www.scottishfa.co.uk/cup_competitions.cfm?curpageid=1352 Cannae find anything on there - really is an amateur effort..

  20. According to the idiot supreme and joking goon a.k.a Euan and Roughie they have been supplied a rumour about John Hartson joining us this evening. Cant see us meeting his wages tho??
  21. Read that Mair cost us our goal... ???
  22. I give my missus my length in order to get a pass to go to the footy
  23. Splash what over the jerseys Donald ' Bukkake' Trump in Dons shirt fiasco. Would certainly rival Clintons misdemeanours..
