You're being far too hard on yourself SeeBass. The original is a cracking picture

I find the ultra's groups a bit irritating at times if I'm honest. They have their moments with displays etc but their holier than thou at least we're trying to create atmosphere something you should aspire to oik attitude rubs me up the wrong way. Ultimately I'm just not a fan of manufactured 'atmosphere', if a game is turgid, it's fucking turgid and 200 people trying to make a song and dance about said turgidness comes across to me as weird, desperate and pathetic. Good atmospheres are created by the events on the pitch and that's a state of affairs that is never going to change. Not only that it's incredibly rare to get a game where it is bouncing all the way through. Football matches have high's and lows and the crowd turning a bit quiet is not a bad thing, it's just part of the game.

Good solid signing, hopefully he can have the Anderson effect on Reynolds. Would I be right in thinking the earliest he will be able to play in europe will be the next round should we negotiate the tricky away leg? I still think we need a fb and another midfielder right enough but the squad is looking strong again, arguably stronger but, If Devlin comes back from injury and returns to form we should perhaps be looking to get him in January.

In DM's gms signing presser with red tv he talked up Scott Wright a bit. He implied that wright was replacing McGinn in the team. If Maloney successfully gets over his injury and signs then I will really be quite liking the look of our front line. In terms of options it's already far more voluminous than last season. In an ideal world I would like three more players. Centre half, versatile fb and a solid holding midfielder in the bisconti/heikkinen mould but I've been wanting that for about 6 windows now.
-
I'm pleased with this, I always thought he had talent but a wee bit wimpy. Ultimately it was always going to be fucking impossible to actually replace hayes but as a successor this is a pretty good bit of business.

I can't imagine this would be such a public story if the player wasn't interested in the move already.

Well look at Alex Thopmsons take on it. He has no horse in this race. -
Copenhagen. I was in a direct line behind smiths lob and lost my phone in the resulting bounce. Amazingly I was able to recover it undamaged after the game. It had traveled 5 rows down and I'm still very grateful to the member of the red ultras who let me use his phone to call it despite an incredibly snippy steward telling me it was clearly a waste of time trying to find it.

What Al said. Anyone heard length of deal?

I hope other supporters groups follow suit, might actually put some pressure on the governing bodies if clubs and supporters groups are unanimously calling for a case review. Ultimately this is probably the last big chance to really stick the boot in to the hordes of mordor, they are so low now they can only go higher though i do not see them seriously having a pop at celtic for a while yet. Regardless though they are likely to not be this shit forever and stripping oldco of titles would bring a certain closure to the matter as it would feel like justice had been done. Being stripped of all honours over the period of cheating plus being liquidated and having to start over seems a fitting punishment for said cheating. Ultimately this has fucked them for at least a decade and I'm starting to wonder if they will ever be able to reclaim their lost ground on Celtic. -
You could argue Neil will know him better and how to get the best out of him. You could see him giving Tommy Wright a call about it.

Statement from Celtic. They won't be able to help themselves in playing the victim card next. WE note today’s decision by the Supreme Court. Celtic's position on this issue has been consistent - that this has always been a matter for the courts of law and also the Scottish football authorities, whose rules are intended to uphold sporting integrity. In 2013, we expressed surprise - shared by many observers and supporters of the game - over the findings of the SPL Commission that no competitive or sporting advantage had resulted. Today’s decision only re-affirms that view. We are sure now that the footballing authorities in Scotland will wish to review this matter. Celtic awaits the outcome of their review. -

If only Scottish journo's would have the stones to call it in such accurate terms. BBC Scotland and the huns fell out ages ago but their journalists still skirt around the issue. It's just a shame the cogs of British justice take 7 years to officially recognise the blindingly obvious. I still think the sale of moray park and mordor for such a paltry fee requires investigation as they were worth well more than that. Anyway the gift that keeps on giving has gone pulled another blinder out of nothing last night. Epic, just epic. Caixinha must be a dead man walking, he's never coming back from this unless he wins the league. In short they look pretty fucked don't they and apparently they have spent something in the region of 8 million to look so fucked. This almost makes up for their 90's dominance. -
Anyone else starting to get worried about the Maloney deal? I would have expected this one to be across the line by now
-
Ali Crawford would be my choice
-
Delighted to get Maloney. I can understand the reservations about age etc but this is a guy whose game has always been about guile not pace. I would put it to the board that from that point of view we have not had a player of this calibre in red since Jess. Stays fit (and he's not an injury prone player so I'm not too worried about that 34 or not) he will wreak havoc in defences up here, Celtics included. I think we are going for a change in style next season, the three behind the striker are going to be far tighter and I see us trying to play through defences instead of getting behind them on the flanks. Should this come to pass then it would be a bold move from DM but why not? The spine of the team is gone so whats the point pretending it's not by trying to mimic those that have left. I know a dundee fan and bumped into him today, interestingly he reckon's Stewart is going to be our signing of the season. Again hes is a guile not pace kinda forward which adds to the theory of change, the likes of stewart maloney and christie all playing together is likely to create a lot of 60% + possession matches. Getting May in playing in this kind of style would be very interesting as he's defo got a better touch than Rooney but, and equally I would argue, Rooney has a far more predatorial instinct than May and I can see him thriving on such service. Rooney can head a ball for sure but he's no target man and whilst Hayes and McGinn have been amazing for us and will be sorely missed you could make the point that their un-droppableness caused us to be a wee bit one dimensional at times over the past few seasons. I said it many times last season but whether he is scoring or not Rooney causes defences big headaches, with those three playing behind him i think he is going to find himself getting a bit more space in the central areas. It's a brave new world Donstalkers and I, for one, feel much more optimistic than I did 3 weeks ago.

I find it strange Hibs even bothered trying, kl is such a dye in the wool hun he was always going to the diet huns!
-
That was a horrible top but it wasn't hunnish like this one is.
-
I have never in my life met a hun sympathising afc fan.

http://www.eveningtimes.co.uk/news/15375662.Derek_Rae__Aberdeen_cycle_is_far_from_over_in_battle_with_Celtic_and_Rangers/ Excellent article about dons found in glasgow tabloid shocker. DIdn't want to start a whole new thread on just this and it's fairly relevant to the window.
-
I liked moh st j and I think dm would get a pretty solid tune out of him. It would also be hilarious if he did well after not getting much of a chance at mordor. Halliday is awful, would genuinely rather Ross Draper.
-
It's hunnish and it needs to go. End of discussion.
-
reasonable pedigree from what i can find out about him, 7 caps for wales.
-
Naismith was a cracking player but he hasn't been playing much recently and he is 31 in September so will have lost that wee burst of pace he used to use to get into the box late. He would probably still score quite a lot of goals but I'm not sure he would be worth the large wage, I would much rather Ali Crawford 2bh.
-
I liked fyvie, thought he looked a player. He didn't do that much at Hibs though and I doubt he would add much to the squad now. Dont want Draper, he's a good physical presence but he gives the ball away far too much. Meekings is a solid cb but gets injured a lot, would prefer Warren of we are taking a cb from Inverness.
