  1. Personally I would like to see Goodwillie played there but I take your point that mcginn would be effective there too. I'd also like to see Smith given more game time
  2. The frustrating thing for me at the moment is the lack of consistency in selection, particularly in defence. There are two natural cb partnerships in Quinn and Reynolds, Taylor and Considine. Trying to play all 4 of them at once is just ridiculous especially when logan and Shinnie are clearly superior fb's. The CM positions are too chop and change also. Jack and Maclean have looked a complimentary pairing when they have played together and for me this is our strongest option regardless of whether you think KM should play further forward or not.
  3. You just won today's internet manc, class!
  4. I voted yes for many reasons but top of the list was never be ruled by tories ever again. I was really surprised the yes campaign didn't put up billboards with pictures of thatcher, portillo, tebbit, IDS, Osbourne and Cameron with the tag "never have to tolerate their like again"
  5. I wasn't convinced Platini would have won it anyway. Not many outside europe would be voting for the head of UEFA to take over when they think FIFA is to UEFA orientated as it is and it's one nation one vote. Also he voted for Qatar so fuck him. I agree Kow, the whole thing should shut down
  6. Fascinating appointment. I don't really have a 2nd team but if i did it would be BVB so I have a lot of time for Klopp. I'll defo be looking out for the scousers score a bit more now. He can be quite abrasive as well and I can totally see him falling out with Jose and Van Gaal pretty quickly which would be highly entertaining. Ancellotti, if he was actually interested, would have been a safer appointment but Klopp took the Dortmund team from the pits of despair which goes in his favour. Honigstein postulated on football weekly that a lot of teams had kinda figured Klopps high intenstity game out which was one of the reasons for BD's downfall. It defo played a part and there didn't seem to be a plan B but the big contributor for their rapid decline at the end of Klopps tenure that was losing Gotze and Lewandowski to Bayern. It really deflated the rest of the squad and you can understand why. I really hope this works out for him.
  7. No words can ever truly express how much I despise the conservative's. The worst part is whoever replaces Cameron, either Osbourne or Johnson you would think, is going to be worse. It breaks my heart to think we could have been free of them.

    Gun control

I was reading up about port Arthur today actually SF, that guy was proper bonkers! This has been doing the rounds on social media recently in case you missed it,JJ nails it IMO. Thing is I remember Bill Hicks doing material on gun control over twenty years ago, that little has been done despite a multitude of massacres since defies logic. 310 million is a staggering figure, it's just mental. I don't accept that it's not possible to take them out of circulation, but it would take a few generations.
  9. Yesterday we started with Hayes playing cm. It's all very well having versatile players and utilising them as such but playing an winger in cm when it would be far more effective to play MacLean alongside Jack and Hayes in his natural position makes no sense to me.
  10. I feel traumatised by that.
  11. It would appear we have been taking lessons from the efe ambrose school of defending
  12. I weep for humanity sometimes, I really do.
  13. Looks like your spidey sense is better than mine manc
  14. I think we'll be fine manc, Wednesday was just a blip. If you look back through the dm era we have always responded well the game after losing. A guy I play darts with writes the caley thistle online previews and he would snap your hand of for a draw right now.
  15. In but I'm on call so no market bar for me pre match. That said I just got a dog so can't spend too much time away from him at first. Away end Birds mum's for tea (her hun bro is going the home end he's a nice guy so I won't hold it against him) 2-0 dons Rooney and Hayes to really wind up the ict faithful
  16. Bebo from the hat on the ball here. Hilarious http://www.afc-chat.co.uk/forums/index.php?showtopic=39414&st=0
  17. You wound me sir. Coldplay indeed!
  18. You kinda have to admire the ballsiness of it
  19. You just know Shinnie is going to be out for months don't you
  20. 2 players injured already, fucks sake
  21. He's desperate to see the mighty dons rinse the orribles?
  22. Yeah and I wasn't very happy about Shinnie playing that game. Another thing with the league cup is that it's midweek games which can lead to more chance of accumulated fatigue injury. Ict on Saturday is going to be our fifth game in two weeks. I do get what you're saying BB, it's not that many games more, but we have already played 6 games more than most as it is and it all add's up.
  23. I'm just looking at the bigger picture. We don't have a massive squad and there are certain players we just can't afford to lose to long term injury if we want to be in the mix come may. I'm thinking the likes of Ward, Jack, McGinn, Rooney and Shinnie to name a few. We can stick out a competitive side without risking key players. If we make the final that's a different story but the reality the situation is with the size of squad we have I think we need to pick our battles.
  24. The jambos I spoke to on the way to haymarket were the same Hebrew.
  25. I can understand that but I just don't think we will get another shot at the title as good as this for a while. Not only that there is no doubt that McInnes as well as our key players will be on bigger clubs radars by now. I genuinely think the only chance we have of keeping this squad and management team together is to win the league and to have a CL qualifying carrot for next season. For me the most realistic chance of winning the league is to build up a big enough cushion over celtic whilst they have europa league to contend with. Come January they will be spending big as not winning the league and it's resulting no CL qualifying would be incredibly damaging for them, especially having not qualified the past few seasons.... we saw their recent 4 mill loss. We have a chance to win the league cup every season, the same cannot be said of the League so I have to respectfully disagree and say I don't give a rats ass about the League cup this season. The Scottish cup is a different story as we will have a far better idea of where the league challenge is by the time the 3rd round comes round.
