It would be great to keep him for next season. People have to remember he's only a kid, and has had f@ck all first team experience, but he's showing some real flahes of quality, and can only improve. Seve take note.
Who drove Simmie out of Scottish football. Not Aberdeen or the tackle. It was only a tackle that was a wee bit unfortunate; the ball moved and Durrants knee was in the way, but the leg breakers that fuckwit and others tried to put in our players were ok in the game were they? The wankers in the West coast press and Rangers hounded him out. They still constantly go on about Durrant etc, so fuck em.....have it back with interest.
We did surprisingly well in the 80's with a tiny squad, thats no excuse. And as for players not being fit enough for so many games, give me a break; what are the coaching staff playing at if a group of high-level (using that term loosley) professionals cannot handle more than a game a week in this day and age?
Great McGhee got a hat-trick, but the whole team performance was fantastic, and Willie Miller was absolutely out of this World. One of the best displays in an Aberdeen shirt; he was absolutely everywhere that night, just superb.
Suppose we'll just have to wait and see. Hopefully the lad will do the business in particular against Copenhagen; then Jimmy can mouth off in the press for ever more. Happy days. (potentially)
There's a time and a place for that course of action, but surely not with one of our best players who's just hit form. Maybe if it was used a long time ago with the likes of Clark or Severin it would have been necessary.
What the fuck is slating him in public going to achieve?? Be magic if it knocks his confidence before Copenhagen; JC, a man-manager you most certainly are not.
