Like I want to rip the pish out the club for announcing a partnership with Brewdog but it doesn’t really merit its own thread. is there a catch all thread here as I can’t seem to find it?

Said it for years - the team should be built around Clarkson. Most talented player we have. He’s a football player. Not an athlete or a unit or a speedster impersonating one. I just enjoy watching him and there’s increasingly few players you can say that about these days. Criminal we can’t find a way to utilise his talent.

Interesting in that he’s voiced it, agreed. He has looked pretty frustrated past couple games. I was irate the Hibs game when he was going tonto at Keskinen. I’m no tactician and sick to back teeth of terms like low block and press etc I just know we threw over managers in part because of their supposed boring play, was pledged peak Brazil from Dave and now we are sitting in a ‘low block’ at.home.to.motherwell. We’ve all said what he’s saying. It’s bloody obvious. Our set up and approach is all wrong. Our midfield is a bombscare. Our forwards are on a hiding to nothing. And they ARE getting a hiding from the boo boys. I know Karlsson is here because of the JT link but the guy will no doubt have other options in January. TBH I’m not a huge fan (hands up I rarely take to loanees, and he’s a bit of a ball hogger) but he’s obviously talented and right now we play as though getting the ball to him is the only option, like the one good kid in the school team. If he’s fed up and buggers off what then?

Can’t speak to the whole site obviously but FWIW Mad was on the whole a lot more pro JT than most places on the net. There were very few of us calling for his head. However things did change slightly after the Hibs game. Several of us expressed really serious concerns for the first time, not calling for him to go per se but a disappointing realisation that maybe he might just have to. Like you today just a disbelief and bewilderment at what he was trying to do with his changes. You’re where we all were a fortnight ago. I was crushed that weekend. Not just the performance but properly contemplating a managerial change for the first time. We then shit fested a couple of games, which I had thought these players incapable of, got a decent enough performance/result in Lanarca and I was foolishly confident that we’d show up today. Instead we got much the same again. No press, players looking lost. JT not addressing obvious problems early enough - Gyamfi struggling, being overrun in midfield, players blowing out their arse and not being replaced etc. Does he need better coaches round about him? as others have said there was a heck of a lot of huddles and chat today with no action. Looks from the outside like his confidence has been knocked and he’s at rock bottom. Can Lutz can help with that? I really hope so.

One step forward, one step back.It’s just Groundhog Day. Lack of bodies in midfield, like for like subs. Bafflingly late subs. Slow to react to in game situations. For clarity on a new forum, I’m not screaming Jimmy out but that was another hard watch, first half in particular was dreadful. If we’re going with the 3 up against a set up like that one of them has to be brave enough to step out. As for their goal embarrassing naïveté again. I don’t think that was a post European hangover either - if it was lethargy then why wait until 91st minute to make 3 changes? No sadly that’s just where we are as a team. I did like Topi rushing to back up young Lobban when Hendry went off his nut but goal aside that was the only highlight.

Strangely confident about this one. Again no idea how we’ll line up. Is it arrogant to say it’s Motherwell at home and we really shouldn’t be needing three at the back? Ach sad news. Only yesterday watched a Gilhaus compilation clip and thought to myself how much I missed his commentary and how he was leagues ahead of what we have now. I’m sure there’s an element of nostalgia and an association with past success but commentary now is absolutely dreadful. Since Derek Rae moved overseas struggling to name one commentator I don’t mind.
