  1. Just watched the highlights. I think St Mirren are right to be aggrieved about their first goal being chalked off, didn't look right to me seeing it back, not sure it was a penalty though, so I suppose one cancels out the other. Their second, Milne slips, (wasn't the only one to slip during the match last night), I had forgotten Devlin was supposed to be covering, I had a recollection of their striker being one one one with Mitov. Their third, fuck me, it was a poor one and so late. Still not going to grumble too much, it was an entertaining game, not something we have been able to say of late. Was nice seeing one of our strikers score a poachers goal, with our second. 18 shots with 8 on target I think the stats said. if only Nisbet hadn't used the sharp edge of his head with thon header. We rode our luck on Sunday and came away with three points, we played much better last night and got a draw. That's fitba.
  2. Hun get awarded a soft penalty in the 98th minute and salvage a 2-2 draw. Somethings will just never change in our game.
  3. You could be right. Im sure Bobby Connor and Billy Stark might disagree though.
  4. Took var about 10 minutes to check two goals, then Malloy got injured, which meant more time added on. VAR really is an abomination.
  5. Not sure how you can claim Surman is decent, based on what, last season with Cove? He might actually be alright, but I don't think we can really tell yet. Do we risk it to find out or hope Mitov finds a bit of form.
  6. Milne slipped and the ball came off his hand right into the path of their striker, who hit it between Mitovs legs to score. Unfortunate, but shit happens.
  7. On the bus hame. Good game, especially the second half. Well done anyone having a 3-3 draw tonight. Before we get tore into our defence, I reckon a few of them are carrying knocks, but no real options to replace anyone. Created a decent amount of chances and lucky not to score a few more. The header by Nisbet in the first half and the Aou cheche in the second half, which then saw them go up the other end and score. Jensen was miles off it tonight, you could see him hesitate when he got the ball and his decision making was awful. Going home entertained, which I didn't expect. VAR ruins football. Sucks all the enjoyment out of it and the time it takes to make a decision is farcical.
  8. Never got Dylan, just doesn't connect with me at all. That whiny voice of his iratates the hell out of me. my view on him hasn't softened over the years. For some reason, I have the DVD of the film about him to watch. Not sure if I'll bother.
  9. You are onto something. I have bought and listened to music that I would have battered myself for owning a few years back. I have an Elton John album in my collection now and even some Emerson Lake and Palmer.
  10. I'm assuming that this includes all side projects and collaborations from the individual members of New Order? If just straight JD or New Order music, it wouldn't amount to that big a catalogue, unless you go down the rabbit hole of remixes and re-issued albums.
  11. He does from me. I have a serious man crush on the guy. I love Shinnie and will likely have a tear in my eye when he leaves or retires from playing.
  12. Woke up early this morning and actually looking forward to this game tonight.
  13. I have a lot of hate for both the oldco and their tribute act and even more for any of our players who have taken their coin. I never in a million years thought Miovski would sign for them. He came across as getting us and thought he got our hatred towards them. When I think back to that Sunday afternoon, last August, when our support, me included, gave him a tremendous send off and hoping that our love affair would continue one day. I never imagined he would end up signing for them. Even up to the day he signed, I still thought it was a wind up. Treachery of the highest order when he signed up for them and hoping we get the rabbit toothed c*nt greeting again, when he leaves Pittodrie next month. I also don't buy into giving him a free pass because he is foreign. He knew fine well. Ash Taylor summed him up best on Twitter.... Filth!
  14. An avid reader and I read just about anything. Just finished the autobiography of Cher and now onto a Victorian Detective novel. To follow, I have a history book about an undercover agent in WW2 and Fraser Clynes book about Arbroath beating Bon-Accord 36-0. Last week was Men in Love, by Irvine Welsh. It is set in the aftermath from when Renton steals the money at the end of Trainspotting. Then I was on the Nicola Sturgeon book. I used to read political biographies all the time many moons ago, but this was my first one in a good few years. I struggle to be interested in politics and politicians now
  15. I thought the tickets were relatively cheap, as although too young to go, I've read about all there is to read about the bands and the Two Tone scene and I can remember the cheapness of the tickets for what you were getting to see. I think that £2.50, is about £12 today. Mental the value of tickets now. I actually saw The Selecter in Aberdeen, the night before the cup final. They were very good and Pauline Black was amazing. Set me up nicely for the best weekend ever.
  16. I think Milanovic may come good too. Think the lad just needs a goal and a run of games to get his confidence up. Not convinced he is a winger though.
  17. Wow, that I would have loved to have seen that tour. I would have been about 6 at the time. Very jealous of that claim. I bet it cost you about a couple of quid for a ticket too.
  18. I listen to loads of music on a daily basis, mainly through the radio, but got a fairly large collection of my own that I like to give a blast too. I'm off to see The Skids on Saturday night and then have Squeeze/Madness on Sunday night, so been blasting a bit of their albums the past few days, to get in the mood for the concerts. I like Madness a lot, but only going this time around, to see Squeeze.
  19. For me anyway, a stadium outside Aberdeen means, we're not Aberdeen anymore. If the economic benefits of a new stadium are so good and obvious, then why don't the great and the good of the City, many of whom have made a fortune from the oil and gas industry, not step up and chip in a few quid to build it. Be much more of a legacy than a car park at the hospital. Cormack is a shark and we have a few more than him involved at the club with very deep pockets (and short arms). I do agree that our Council is poor, has been for years, but not a unique problem to Aberdeen. Look at the limited gene pools in Westminster, Edinburgh, Cardiff and Belfast. Not a ringing endorsement of UK politics and it gets even worse at local government level. The last thing we need as a city, is for the stadium debate to become politicised. I trust Cormack about as much as I trust the council.
  20. Dinna go there min. I thought Dave was off the alcohol now. Sounds like he's been on a bender and then sat down and wrote that shyte. Just what the City needs right now, more division.
  21. I think the loan system is a great option, as long as not improving a Celtic player. I do wonder the logic of taking young lads, with little first team experience, from other clubs and throwing them into our first team, whilst not giving chances to any of our own. Lobban is holding his own in the first team and sure some others probably would too, if given a decent run.
  22. Certainly shades of Trump with that statement. We are getting into murky waters with statements like that.
  23. She means Twitter and the South African weirdo is Musk.
  24. An article on the P&J site about players likely to leave in January. Nothing was surprising in it, bar a claim that Alfie Dorrington has been back in full training, but just not getting picked for the squads. So he was in the list of possible departures in January. I just thought the lad was injured. Be a shame to see him go if true.
  25. I'm going to embrace the 1-0 wins. This time last year, we would have loved a shithouse win against anyone. A 1-0 against St Midden on Wednesday will be acceptable.
