On this day back in 2011, Craig Brown and Archie Knox took over at the Dons. I'll be honest and say that I thought we were really shyte during their time at the Dons. His baffling post match comments used to irk me so much, clearly wasn't watching the same game as the rest of us. I know, fine guy, laid the blocks for McInnes and all that, but I never rated Brown much as a manager. Also in 2002, we beat St Johnstone 2-0 away in the Cup. Ben Thornley scoring! That is a name from the past. https://www.afcheritage.org/matches/match-report?id=205

He's not got much confidence though and he is costing us goals. Nobody can deny that. Got nothing to do with us fans and it's not like he is getting booed from the stands or anything daft. Would do him good to be dropped for a game or two, in my opinion. Nothing against him at all and I think he is a good keeper. He is of course not being helped, by our piss poor attempts at defending throughout the team. My only concern about dropping him is knowing so little of Suman.

Spurs manager Thomas Frank, getting it even more in the neck from Spurs fans, after being pictured, at last nights game at Brentford, drinking from a coffee cup with an Arsenal logo on it. Shit like that is why I love fitba.
-
Is it that Suman is bad or are we just to scared to play another Australian, since we have had our fingers well and truly burned with Australian signings this season. Whatever happens, it's not been good watching our cup final hero going through the mother and father of bad spells.

More to do with some of us AbMad refugees, that took refuge here, as don't really know the politics of the existing Donstalk posters. I think when we vote for a party, or a leader/president. We believe they will do good, whether for yourself individually or your country. How you interpret good is another matter.

It's as clear as day it's all about access to the ever dwindling resources of the world. Greenland will be next. The EU (UK included), can't even blame the usual pariah countries (Russia & China), for it either. To think, still a load of folk over here, including posters on this forum, believe Trump is a force of good. Scary shit.

20 years ago today, a cup game against the Jute, at Tannadice. The Don's fought back from being 2-0 down, at half time, to win the game 2-3. A rare away trip for myself and a fair old bounce at our third goal. https://www.afcheritage.org/matches/match-report?id=4703

Firstly, what a shit kick off time. Hopefully lessons learned from last night, but considering that soft goals were our downfall again, then maybe not. A team doesn't have to be good to beat us, just have to take the inevitable chances that will come their way. In South Stand Home Home 2-1 Armstrong & Lazetic

I remember Scotch Cola, and it was Hays. You can see a picture of a bottle in the below link, hopefully it works. Not sure that's the original stuff the bottle though and certainly wouldn't want to drink it. Woodpecker Cider and Bon Accord Blackcurrant cordial was drink of choice for kids in our house. Advocaat and Babycham too. Never liked McEwans when I was young, but my pint of choice now. I find my taste buds have changed a lot, as I get older. https://www.gumtree.com/p/hobbies-collectibles/hays-vintage-scotch-cola-bottle-unopened/1494814821

Didn't expect a win, but didn't get a humping. Think it's going to need a bit of time and patience to get the confidence back into this squad of players. We fans need to get behind the team on Sunday.

Yes, should be interesting. Be lovely to get the three points tonight, but I'd settle for a good performance from the team and a respectable scoreline, if we have to get beat.

I'm with you. I think I get the point of it at the really big clubs, but not in Scotland. To be fair, I'm not one who bothers too much about the running of the club and only really care about what I see on the pitch when I go to see them. The rest is just noise really. It's modern fitba and the American influence in it, which can fuck right off. The old ways might have been the bad way, but the new way will never add further stars to the jersey either. I've nothing against Lutz, but as soon as the next manager comes in and suffers a defeat, he will be getting it in the neck too.

Just saw that. The Sevco job must have put them back on the radar of other well known hun sympathizing clubs. Safe in the knowledge that when it goes tits up, they will walk straight back into their matchday jobs with the BBC.

Be a fair size of a book. AFC The Toasterless Years 1995 - 2025

I'm sure there would be great mileage in a book detailing all the happenings amongst all managerial appointments since Dave took over the club. I don't think any writer would have to embellish the stories much either.

To give Robinson his due, he won a trophy we would have liked to have won. His hammer throwers also beat Hearts, Motherwell and Celtic to win the trophy. I wouldn't like to see him here and don't think he will, but he does a decent enough job for them. Same applies to Martindale at Livi. I really haven't a clue who we will end up with, but I doubt it will be a manager currently working, or out of work in Scotland.

The Wigan fans were supposedly upset when Maloney left the managers role, probably a bit like us with Thelin. Wycombe fans were upset when Anthony Stewart left for us, so best not use that as a metric for signing either players or manager.

Donald Trump has warned Venezuela's new leader Delcy Rodríguez she could "pay a very big price, probably bigger than Maduro" if she "doesn't do what's right". https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/ckgnxvp477eo I'm assuming right, is giving control to their natural resources to American companies.

That's that them A shame it didn't work. Who will be next though. I've no ideas on that front, just please not Robinson.
-
It's on the P&J site as well now. Poor communication from the club, if this news is correct.
-
Very surprised. I reckon if he's gone, he lost the players and as we well know, only one outcome. I personally thought he was here for the season. The Cup will ensure his name in the history books and rightly so. but that winning league run at the start of last season was immense. One of my favourite periods following the Don's. Singing ,'fuck you Celtic, we're gonna win the league'. was a great feeling. Was never going to happen, but it fairly upset certain sections of the media, which made the Cup win that bit more sweeter. All the best Jimmy. I'm sure you'll be back managing before long.
