Reporting Scotland saying that newco might not meet the SFA requirements to play in any league! Finally some sense from the SFA, or is there something else afoot?
Laird's had a great round today. Never really done well on links golf, but I think the jury's out on whether Castle Stuart is a links course or not. Wish I'd gone up, weather is better this year!
St Mirren chairman seemingly now talking about yesterday's vote being a "catastrophe" - which means there was some sort of plan to get them into division 1.
There's way too much chat that newco are going to be in the SPL this season. Surely to fuck the SPL aren't going to be that stupid?
Are you sure there are not two Tom English's? I agree with the majority of his articles. Today he was applauding the decision taken by the SFL teams, and last week he tried to take Jabba to task on Sportsound (admittedly only to be shot down by the loud mouth cretin).
Very disappointing statement from Caley, as they run a pretty tight financial ship up there and are not in any particular debt (IIRC) and should be in better financial position to adapt. Pretty disgraceful to blame the SFL clubs. But it looks like a lot of the SPL clubs were in on this plan for division 1.
Certainly hope there is at least a vote of no confidence in at least one of them today. A line needs to be drawn under this mess ASAP. I think some SFL clubs will be voting no to newco in any league, but Regan will try and over-rule.
I think Yorkston has also said he wouldn't be surprised if newco are in the SPL. Why wait until Monday to decide who gets promoted, and why have Dundee suddenly been told they have to vote today?
The whole thing is one sorry mess.
