  2. Sigur Ros - Hvarf Heim (disc 2 )
  3. Must be an age thing
  4. Not sure, either Cadger or Super Kev. Think they both got their first caps around 2002 ?
  5. Fucking pathetic min.....call yourself a supporter
  6. Might well relax the demand for tickets. Makes no odds to me as will be going anyway, but might put some folk off going
  7. Well deserved, been pretty impressed by what I've seen of him so far. Will certainly do him no harm at all to get involved Thought it was a big mistake of Mr Brown to drop him for the cup semi and more than a little harsh on him. However he has his best years ahead of him and hopefully will enjoy plenty more occassions such as this with AFC
  8. Missus, do you read all the books I read or something Pretty different to most of his other stuff isn't it ? Take it you've finished the millenium trilogy now ? Did you think that the outcome justified over 2000 pages of reading ?

  12. Bebo P.S Mizer, wasn't me that voted for Deek
  13. Think you're been harsh in singling him out there. He was far from the only member of our team today that failed to do that. Particularily in the first half I lost count of the number of times I shouted at the tv as we failed to complete a simple straightforward pass to a team mate
  14. Wouldn't say he was brilliant, but would have given him pass marks. Hugely disappointed with Blackman. Realise that he probably is better suited playing through the middle, but everything about him today said to me that he was in a right huff about playing out wide and looked totally ineffective and uninterested in being there.
  15. Will need to play better than today to progress any further, but at least we're there.
  16. That was fucking awful, no other way to describe it, but at the end of the day as others have said at least we're through to the next round and avoided one half of the bigot brothers. Rather win a game like in that fashion, than lose out to the odd goal in a nine goal thriller Ninety minutes away from another trip to Hampden
  17. Amen brother
  18. United have ridden their luck and this day had to come
  19. you tell him mate
  20. Hindsight is simple, but I'll see your and raise you a Read it and weep Mr Wenger
  21. Spot on Bobby. Said it before and I'll say it again, the majority of professional footballers on the edge of a Premiership 1st eleven will add value to out team. Milsom definitely fits the bill
  22. No brainer tbh, make him an offer and see igf he'll sign now. sure i read somewhere that much as he'd like to play in the Premiership again he is enjoying life at Aberdeen and would be happy to sign on for longer term: Aberdeen manager Craig Brown is ready to offer midfielder Rob Milsom a long-term contract at Pittodrie. The 24-year-old has been an impressive addition since joining from English Premier League club Fulham on January 13 on a deal until the summer. Milsom is a free agent at the end of the season but Brown has already seen enough in his first four appearances to want him signed on a longer-term contract. The midfielder will have a key role when Aberdeen face Dunfermline in the Scottish Cup fifth round at Pittodrie on Sunday. Brown said: “Milsom has done very well for us and has looked a very worthy acquisition. He has been involved in very difficult games, playing against Celtic three times in 11 days, and he has been a standout. I would like to keep him in the long term. We have the Dunfermline game on Sunday but after that there is a little break for the international matches and we will be looking to begin talks with him next week.” Brown wants Milsom tied up but others in the squad face uncertain futures. Goalkeeper Jamie Langfield, defender Zander Diamond, midfielder Derek Young and attackers Sone Aluko and Chris Maguire are out of contract in the summer. Milsom and defender David McNamee are on short-term deals until June. Attacker Nick Blackman and defenders Nikola Vujadinovic and Steven Smith are also on loans which expire at the end of the season. Brown is facing a major rebuilding project in the summer but his focus is on the present. The former Scotland manager does not think the uncertainty will affect players’ performances – far from it. The manager expects even more from those who have the most to gain. He said: “In my experience, players perform better towards the end of their contracts. They know they are in the shop window, not just to earn deals at Aberdeen but at other clubs. “We did not receive any approaches for our players in January but we know they are being watched and they are playing for deals here or elsewhere.” Brown is optimistic midfielder Ryan Jack will be available to face the Pars, despite suffering a shin injury against Celtic on Tuesday but defender David McNamee is targeting next week’s trip to St Johnstone after aggravating a groin problem. 23. Much to report since last post on here. In no particular order have read the following: Ken Follet - The Pillars Of The Earth. A decent story from Mr Follet as ever, but at almost 1100 pages, it was at least 500 too many, and the story could easily have been condensed somewhat. George W Bush - Decision Points. Wouldn't have bought it from choice, but given it as a present and actually a decent enough read, if only because I take an interest in current affairs and everything that happened in it is fairly recent and easily rememberable. David Peace - 1974. Finished it but to be honest wouldn't rave about it. Think that boils down more to his style of writing rather than the story itself which was ok. Stuart McBride - Dark Blood. Latest paperback offering on Aberdeen's finest. Been critical of Mr McBride in the past for being far fetched, but this one puts him right back in the frame. Excellent read and finished in a train journey to Newcastle and back. Currently enjoying a book by Paul McGuigan (Oasis) and Paolo Hewiit entitled "The Greatest Footballer You Never Saw" which is the poignant, funny and tragic story of Robin Friday.
