Aberdeen said in a website statement: "Craig Brown this afternoon confirmed Daniel is at Pittodrie and will train with the club for a couple of days." Uchechi was originally meant to go on trial with the Scottish Premier League club during the summer but instead turned out in pre-season for Peterborough United before joining Wednesday after a successful trial. He signed for the League One club until January, but the loan spell was cut short in November after he made only one appearance under Gary Megson. That was Uchechi's only senior appearance in English football, having played for Charlton's youth and reserve teams before joining West Ham in 2009. He was released by the then Premier League club a year later and returned to Nigeria National League outfit Dender. Uchechi had also failed to break into the first-team at Leicester during his loan spell with the Championship outfit last season. Aberdeen boss Brown already has former Rangers, Leicester, Motherwell and Norwich City midfielder Stephen Hughes on trial.
