Match of the day and sportscene always do this too Goal of the season poll comes out with at least 2 league games and the scottish cup final still to play. In the days before the internet when sportscene etc stopped come june I could understand this but now with internet streaming it seems stupid. They also do the poll at the semi final stages of world cups and euro championship too. If I was cynical id say this had a negative effect on the final. Anyone recall the last major international final that was a classic game full of spectacular goals?

So does anyone think we have a chance in this one? Im going to forever jinx the scenario and point out the following Victory over hearts coupled with a Celtic win over the Arabs puts us in quite a decent position We would be 1 point behind the arabs and 2 points behind hearts. Those 2 have to play each other on saturday and then finish up facing both halves of the old firm while we have a home match against hibs. if it ends up all square at tynecastle on sunday and we dont get hammered at Ibrox, a victory over hibs at home could actually see us sneak 3rd on goal difference. But unfortunately I dont think we have the bottle to extend the LSC's losing streak IN/OUT - Out Prematch - Probably work Match - Probably work or gym or running Post match - The flat wondering if i really care about scottish football anymore 1-1

That was Hearts No less -
Surely it can only be overturned if the ref says he made a mistake which in this case would mean kerr didnt call him a cunt so the red card was basically a sign that he had lost the plot and was trying to 'stamp' his authority with a big over reaction...ie he is incompetant and shouldnt be a referee in any league be it pro, or sunday. Swine flu has more chance of wiping out the human race

Ya know its almost getting to the stage that I hope milne just walks away and takes his money etc with him, and the banks pull the plug on the club just so some of our support can be educated in how the world of finance works.

I cant comment on cooper because it was b4 my time but I cannot agree with your analogy of Snelder's exit To my knowledge he was dropped by mr Aitken after a couple of bad performances (3-2 defeat against celtic is stuck in my head as the day his confidence was shattered IMO) As I see it Aitken thought it was Michael Watt and Derek Stillie's time to shine and snelders fell down the pecking order not even making the bench in some games. There was apparenlty a swap deal on the cards that would have seen us take Gordon Marshall from Celtic (who had just lost his starting place with them) and snelders head to parkhead but that fell never materialised. Yer a footballer in yer mid 30s who is sitting on the bench knowing that you are losing match fitness, time is against you and the current manager is favouring youth. suddenly you are offered a contract with Rangers who require cover from an injured Goram, and the club you served loyally for 8 years are only too happy to snap up a few hundred K to offload you from the wage bill. He got to play in the Champions league (all be it heavy defeats but still something he didnt get to do at pittodrie) and got a few extra pennies into his bank account before his career ended. And since he played most of his career in a time when footballers wages were not astronomical so i dont begrudge him doing what was best for his family. To class him as a cunt basically because he signed for rangers is pathetic. I get the impression that your one of you criteria for this thread to Just list every dons player that left us for Rangers no matter who they were

so moving the game to a sunday kick off and sticking the arabs celtic game on the wednesday instead of the tuesday was just a ludicrous decision? I do like him pointing out that they the SPL considered a rugby match at Murrayfield and a 10k run in glasgow but failed to look at the first division fixture list for dundee.

EE: Jimmy’s winning formula for Aberdeen FC
tom_widdows replied to Kowalski's topic in Aberdeen Football Club
Where exactly is the 'winning formula' mentioned in the headline? I see no mention of crippling the opposing teams best striker, midfielder, defender and goalie Scoring more goals than they do Or no-one talking to the press about how much 'they are up for it' Some twat pays this man a wage? -
Getting dropped in the middle of a strange country with limited cash is a sure fire cure for that. Its adapt or basically die travelling (ie not fucking off to malaga for 2 weeks) is a real test of how much you like each other. IN New zealand I met several folk who had come 'with friends' but had fallen out with them after a matter of weeks and gone their seperate ways. In fact I only know of 2 guys that are still friends after travelling together and that was only after falling out big time and spending 4months avoiding each other. Going with yer GF or BF is a means to a break up (Australia seems to be notorious for this) My summer is to be spent working and training/ taking part in 'the 2009 Hat trick' in my signature. And I may also be taking a little trip to Hampden to see Angus, Malcolm and Brian
