I think one of the biggest factors in losing that game was Snelders not playing and that fuckwit Hateley crunching Micky Watt in the first few minutes. Watt was terrified of him after that .
As FJ says, it was a pretty shit day that started with such high hopes.
Their explanation for not taking action will be - White was disqualified in 2000, which is more than 5 years ago.......... so no need to rock any boats.
I'd rather we start panicking now and hope the team realises what a perilous position it is in, while we're still close to the rest of the league. Waiting a month, and being adrift at the bottom might be too late.
I voted D, but could easily have dropped it to an E.
I feel the comments at the bottom of his report card would mirror mine..........
Has the capabilities but needs to learn to apply himself better and to concentrate on the task at hand.
Of course, a mighty performance. Scored 3 goals, managed to hang on against far superior opposition throughout extra time only to lose valiantly in the lottery that is the penalty shoot.
I mean, it's not as if we were playing a team of part-timers at the bottom of a league 2 divisions below us.
I doubt it will be forgotten, but it will likely just be added to the litany of shameful results in the last few years.
Either way, the apathy deepens,,,,,,,,,,,,,
They were absymal.
I know the excuses are already being trotted out, injuries, suspensions etc, but if a club with their resources and aspirations don't have sufficient quality available for cover, then it simply continues to raise doubts about Wenger's decision making.
I love watching Arsenal play, most of the time. But they can be incredibly frustrating - almost as much as watching the Dons, maybe even more so because the quality in their team.
Going by today's "performance", AFC are a long way short of only needing 3 big signings to be back in contention. That would help restore some faith, but I think they need to overhaul the back 4, almost completely. Add a solid, strong midfielder and a top notch striker. I'd also like a better 'keeper, but it's not the highest on their list of needs.
As much as I dislike ManUtd, they were very, very good.
Pleased to see Arsenal beat Udinese in Italy.
I hope Wenger spends a big chunk of the money from the Fabregas, Clichy and Nasri departures on decent replacements. On a brighter note, Eboue's gone too
