  1. Have you ever seen Sesame Street when they sing the counting song? One - two - three - four - five, six - seven - eight - nine - ten, eleven - twee-eee-eee-eee-eee-eee-ee-elve!
  2. I remember the South Stand being packed with folk having to stand in the stair wells but I think you are right, that is what was quoted in the press. In the next tie at Pittodrie they had to move the Saints supporters to one side of the Beach End to let in extra Dons fans. The most exciting and nervous day I remember having at Pittodrie as we went top of the league with one game to go.
  3. and boy did we turn it on that day. We got revenge on the infamous 5-0 pumping by drawing them 0-0. That got it right up the Sainties.
  4. Wooah! This isnae Jim Bett or Eoin Jess you are talking about here.
  5. Have you never seen the highlights? Sare to watch. Beckham looks like he is being dragged down by it as well.
  6. Huns versus Well the night. I have to say that it doesn't sit easy all this wanting the Huns to win. I feel quite dirty.
  7. Ooft, he's affa peely wally for that hate.
  8. Here is one average defender we have been linked who we wont be signing.
  9. A professional footballer in a kebab shop! Get the pitch forks folks, lets lynch him!
  10. Scottish football hit a decline around the same time the Old Firm started to flourish financially. A lot of clubs were living beyond their means and are now suffering because of it, not just Aberdeen. Aberdeen were badly hit as the board felt they needed to spend money to keep up with Rangers in the late 80's / early 90's. Had the board at the time decided to be more careful in the transfer market they would have been lynched. Further down the line when the SKY TV money disappeared it the decline became quite rapid.
  11. The marketing boys sold off Aberdeen's design input to Just Sport.
  12. The Just Sport deal still has some time to go though doesn't it? We don't have any tie in with Nike at all, this Just Sport outfit purchase off the shelf kits on Aberdeen's behalf unless I am an mistaken?
  13. If they moved the final back more than a day that would put Queen of the South at a disadvantage. They already have a few weeks idol before the final as it is.
  14. Moenchengladbach is a very nice place. Not very big but very charming and has some cracking proper old school boozers. A chap by the name of Bertie Vogts is the local football legend.
  15. Sumfink like that. Cheap as goulash.
  16. That was last years line up min. It's on the banks of Lake Balaton which is an hour south of Budapest. Electronic madness in the sun, I cannae wait.
  17. Nope, Exit is in Novi Sad on the grounds of a fortress. I was hoping to go this year for my stagger but it proved too tricky to get a group from the UK to northern Serbia so we are going to Balaton Sound in Hungary instead.
  18. I've only spent a couple of days in Belgrade but it is a very lively place. The best action I am told is on the banks of the Danube. The Serbs in general are good fun and can appear pretty mental. Head up north to Vojvodina and Novi Sad for the Exit festival in July. Sarajevo in Bosnia is also a very interesting place to visit and has a good nightlife as well. The journey by road from Belgrade to Sarajevo is quite spectacular. I've got a mate from Fife who spends half his time in Belgrade at the moment and if his experience is anything to go by you will have a cracking time. I found the locals in Serbia and Bosnia to be very easy going and also very easy to engage and by fuck do they like a drink.
  19. Brilliant. I've not attempted it yet but I will probably give it a go when I am on holiday in September. If you get a chance you should try and get down to Serbia, Bosnia and Croatia - a wonderful part of the world.
