  1. I think the issue with Maguire is that he is still very much learning on the job. In years gone by the squad would have been big enough and good enough so that Maguire wouldn't have been blooded so early. When guys like Booth and Jess came through they were fairly accomplished when they made their debuts.
  2. There were some cracking mixes of 'Sun Rising'.
  3. Memories of happy times in the days of youth?
  4. Rod Stewart - Atlantic Crossing
  5. I spoke to a fromrt player who played with him under his captaincy and management and he said that Miller, whilst respected as a great player, was not fondly thought of in the dressing room or for his management skills.
  6. All he is saying is that Miller comes across dour. Cannae argue with that.
  7. Aberdeen had the clout to attract big players back then. Different situation now.
  8. Statistics are like miniskirts...
  9. Why doesn't Jimmy just make his team win every week?
  10. He got done by Martin Hardie stamping on him 'accidentally' in the Scottish Cup semi.
  11. Though quite often it ended up with the wide players ending up too deep due to having to track back.
  12. Where did the JCGTH come from?
  13. Yip. Ebbe often played with 3 attacking players with Stavrum usually taking up position wide right.
  14. Stavrum was very often played as a wide attacking player as well.
  15. I agree with this assessment.
  16. Maybe there was concrete interest from Altrincham or Kings Lynn or the like?
  17. I guess that is a question for a Motherwell forum. He is tenacious and hard working from what I can remember.
  18. He serenaded the ticket wifie whilst naked.
  19. Real Mallorca away. Mallorca is lovely in August. Palma has a decent nightlife as well as long as you can avoid the trashy Brits.
  20. Tijuana Style by Herb Aplert on the old gramaphone. Cracking way to start a Sunday morning.
  21. Workrate was very good, he seemed to be popping up everywhere. Kept the ball very well, didn't seem to give it away. I was impressed with his crossing too, especially on his weaker foot. Finishing was abysmal.
  22. Maybe. In recent years I don't think we have raised our game much beyond our normal standard against the Hun. I think last night the pressure was off and the players showed a sense of freedom which, coupled with the huge pressure the Hun felt, allowed them to play decent attacking football.
