I never signed up to DNA because it doesnt seem right that people are investing and not getting a say. If 6000 people signed up even for the £12 a month thats over £1 million fans are investing. If this was a scheme that bought the club into fan ownership id be all for it and id sign up. All these investors we are getting in lately are looking for a return. Not that they are getting now but why should they ever get there dividends when the fans are the ones pumping money into the club.

Season 2019/2020 Rebuilding
DantheDon replied to KennyFuckinPowers's topic in Aberdeen Football Club
I agree that considine can do a job at center back if needed. Preferably as a back up but like others have said with the difficulty in recruiting players of the quality we would like i think its always good to have a known quantity. On another note has anyone heard any updates on the training facilities? Are they going to be ready for the new season? Ive not heard anything recently and ive never known a construction project that was in on time. -
Looked like he had a little kick out. Wasnt super obvious so it was a good spot.

Season 2019/2020 Rebuilding

Maybe giving Joe the captaincy next season would make him more likely to sign. I cant think that anyone else deserves it more. -
I dont know what was being chanted anyone know? But it seems laughably corrupt that we are getting investigated but not the Rangers.
-
Apppologies I misunderstood. If players dont have any involvment in the play then it would not be offside. I thought you meant if a player started off the field and came back on to have some involvment.
-
Surely that cant be the case? Otherwise it would be exploited by teams more often.
-
Thought we were the better side, but we didn't take our chances today. Its going to be tough to go to Ibrox.
-
To be fair on Mcinnes, its surely Shanklands job to keep himself in shape. I dont think he got enough opportunitys for us but I also think us letting him go has spurred his career on. I think sometimes its when youngsters are realeased that they realise its make or break time.
-
I tend to think he does improve players but only if they can fit into the system we play. The problem with Stewart is he has been taken in as a winger and hes just not suited to that position. I believe he was playing up front for Kilmarnock and that why he had more success.

Presuming I can still join in? 67 looks like it could be a possibility. 90 89 88 87 86 85 84 83 82 - DownSouthDon 81 80 79 - EdmontonDandy 78 - Tyrant 77 - OxfordDon 76 - Elgindon 75 - Lencarl 74 - Rico 73 - wee toon red 72 - Tom_W 71 - Ten Caat 70 - Manc 69 - BigAl 68 - MBT 67 - DantheDon 66 - kennyfuckinpowers 65 - Jute 64 63 62 61 - rocket 60 59 58 57 56 55 54 53 52 51 50 49 48 47 46 45 44 43 42 41 40 39 38 37 36 35 34 33 32 31 30

Didn't watch the match but surely Cosgrove with two goals got pass marks???
-
I see a heap of American players are signing for the old firm. Surely if that's the market we want to break into we should be trying to sign a few yanks.
-
Seems to depend on the manager. Under Strachan I would agree and i think it was one of the things that alienated him from the scottish fans. Mcleish seems to be giving scottish based players a chance though, which is as it should be.
-
Would rather Johnny Russell then Jason Cummings...
-
Honestly wouldnt want Hayes back. As much as he was good for us he hasnt played much for the last couple of seasons and he wont have the same engine now at 31. Hendry seemed to be a good player at Dundee but I would value him at no more then 1 mill so would be expecting at least 5-6 million on top. But I would generally prefer not to sell to a rival. We want to get him into the English market with a decent sell on clause. If he does even half decent down there a 20% clause could net us an extra 6mill+.
-
Seems like Sunderland are signing half the players in the league at the moment. Be interesting to see how they fare next season in the chapionship.
-
Greg Stewart has been recalled to Birmingham as they are looking to sell him this month. Hes been pretty good for Kilmarnock this season. I'm not overly confident that we could get the best out of him, but it wouldn't surprise me if McInnes would go for him.
-
Would it be worth letting him go for that little? We would then need to recruit a new winger.
-
I was thinking with Dave McCormack saying Aberdeen can be Americas Scottish team, is it likely we try to get some yanks in? I see there seems to be talk of a couple of them going to Celtic and Rangers, how are we going to be americas team if we have no Americans?
-
If McInnes does end up going to Stoke, I hope we try and get Steve Clarke from Killie.

Dons - Victimhood - Boxing Day 2 pm
DantheDon replied to rocket_scientist's topic in Aberdeen Football Club
Is it not that had we scraped through and got a result nobody would be complaning about the tactics. Look at the two sevco games. We played the same way and got results. I actually think if we had lowe and devlin in the side the tactics would have worked. To me the problem is just that compared to teams like Celtic and even Sevco our squad is not strong enough. -

I don't think Ball put in a good enough performance today. Would say he was at fault for the first goal and just didn't break up the play enough in the middle of the park. When we then moved Shinnie into midfield it was better but we were totally exposed on the flanks. I actually thought Considine did fine today but was always going to be done for pace once he was moved out to left back. I think it was obvious that we sorely missed Max Lowe. Personally don't buy that Celtic were there for the taking, they are not as good as they have been but neither are we. They managed to take an 8m player off the bench to turn the match for them. We are doing well to be where we are based on the players we have lost over the past few seasons. I would bite your arm off to accept a European place and integrating some of these good youngsters into the team this season. Its not that I'm unambitious but I do feel realistically we are going to need this season to rebuild. Maclennan looked decent again today although he was quickly crowded out whenever he got the ball. -
Not to get too carried away but is gaulds cotract not up in the summer? If so he might fancy coming back home. I believe he is a dons fan.
